  1. I agree. Let's do away with scheduling body bag games.
  2. The metroplex better start caring if we want to get into another conference.
  3. Could be...along with some sort of dementia...plus, he was hospitalized alot recently...broken leg, I believe...seperation from the team, coaching, goings on...
  4. Maybe I'm getting a little worked up...guess I don't really know jack...and Jerry, for that matter...
  5. I don't believe Joe had any motives...nothing to be gained by hiding a pedophile...he just didn't know and wasn't aware...it's not like the soddomite Sandusky let everyone know he's molesting little boys..."Hey Joe, after watching some film, I'm going over to the showers to inappropriately touch children...what're your plans?" Joe Paterno would not have stood by while that happened for anyrthing - be it protecting the program, the school, his buddy, etc...not buying what you're selling.
  6. Joe Paterno didn't look the other way, and he didn't know "all along" what was going on. Based on what was reported to him, he did what he was supposed to do - report it to his boss. You can't expect anything else. Look to Sandusky and his actions, not Joe Paterno's...
  7. I just don't buy it. Joe Paterno would've done all that he could/should do in a situation like this. No evidence to support otherwise. I think if he was fully aware of what was going on, Joe Paterno would have done the right thing. I thing he was fooled, like alot of people. Can't blame him for that. But don't presume that he's guilty of a cover up...doesn't add up.
  8. CMJ, get over yourself. Joe Pa would've never been afraid of what you describe as a "massive PR hit". Ridiculous. The guy's such a winner, you think turning in a pedophile would damage him or Penn State? Joe did the right thing in reporting what was reported to him to his boss. The rules are the rules, and there are people who are in charge of enforcing those rules, and investigating claims of wrongdoing, and it's not the head football coach. That's when lawyers get involved. Lawyers and committees to discuss forming committees on when to have a meeting on topics to discuss committee agendas for the committe meetings. Go write something stupid about Jerry Sandusky, not Joe Paterno. Pathetic.
  9. Question is "is he interested in North Texas?"
  10. Win, win, win. Increase attendence. Get a baseball team. Win, win, win.
  11. Need 5 Tickets for ULM Game - please call me (817) 909-6819 or b_brake@yahoo.com.
  12. I didn't see alot of Diversity in those festival pics...
  13. I applaud the Texas Tech fans who used shoe polish and fish bait to foul up the TA&M student busses over the weekend. What a ballsy Animal House thing to do. Real college football is based on rivalries - what's a greater way to fuel a rivalry with a little vandalism? Nice work Tech fans. Aggies will remember this one, that's for sure. Now if only some Green Greeks in Denton like maybe the old Delta Lodge would share a little vandalism with the U La Monroe busses on Homecoming, that would be classic...even though the Delta Lodge burned down years ago...would be fun to fule the fire a bit. Get some great pics, post em up here. Go Mean Green.
  14. Anyone know whether or not Verizon Fios offers the Sun Belt Network?
  15. Add to this the notion that tuition continues to rise every fiscal year in Texas, and there's no legislation to regulate tuition costs. UT is one of the richest schools in the nation...the greed is sickening. Make sure your kids work hard now to get some sort of scholarship or financial aide, or else you're going to be broke by the time junior gets out of college.
  16. Beer in the stands at West Virginia? Brilliant!
  17. For what it's worth, I recommend looking into a Sirius satellite radio for your daily commute - commercial-free uncensored programming such as Howard Stern or the plethora of less controversial sports, comedy, great music, news, politics, audio books, etc. makes it well worth the fourteen- dollars a month - not a shareholder or anything, just enjoy it - teresterial radio doesn't compare. Think about it the next time you have to listen to fifteen- minutes of D&M Autoleasing commercials or ads for Mans's Best Friend...talk about a pain in the arse.
  18. Someone needs to start/continue the UNT coed hottie thread again... Go Mean Green.
  19. Stay healthy for Indiana and the Sun Belt schedule homeboy...knock on particle board. Go Mean Green.
  20. Fox Sports South. Not Fox Sports Southwest. Verizon Fios HD channel 577.
  21. Hugh Freeze, Arkansas State: The Red Wolves hung with Illinois in an 18-point loss in Freeze's debut, but that was quickly forgotten after last week's seal-clubbing of Memphis. The Red Wolves rolled up 611 yards in the 47-3 victory under Freeze, who was ASU's offensive coordinator last season. Grade: A 611 yards? Why are the Indians and Troy and FIU and FAU able to have success early on, and we're stuck in our downward spiral? Did they have new stadiums too? Former Big 12 stand out coaches? We need wins this season. This season. No where else to go but up. We need wins. This season. Go Mean Green.
