-Would have felt a ton better about the D-line had we been able to keep our DEs committed this recruiting cycle. Xavier Washington last year, Sam Miller, "Five" Howard this year... Those are impact guys off the edge that we haven't closed the deal on.

Agree. We've got to find something more than rotation players. The majority of the front played so inconsistently they should expect to be replaced. -hope we hang on to Miller. I'd like to see Miller & T. Johnson develop into a threat off the edge.

Hard to believe but we continue to award scholarships to undersized D linemen. There's not one player in our rotation that would start for Southern Miss. -or LA Tech for that matter.

Too many kids from Mac's 1st two years are gone. For whatever reason 16 or so didn't pan out. That's almost a full class of recruits. It's forced us to play young. Additionally, the staff prioritize their recruits differently. Our current signees are heavy on the O line & defensive backfield. -I was sorta hoping to see a class with 7 three star defensive linemen or so.

you need size inside at DT and at DE to demand a double team. when you have that, LB can excel. otherwise they have a guard hanging on them.

Run the ball & stop the run. It's how you win games. We are WAY too small on the defensive front. Lincoln does an admirable job inside but coming out of high school he was 240. He's the size of player that should be your strong side DE. We cant play him there because we need him inside. Moving forward, we seem to be loading up on DBs & WRs. disproportionately to D linemen. Nothing against the players but you can't win at this level when your ends don't weigh 230 lbs.

Our front 7 is too small. Our entire D line rotation is too small. We have a national champion D-line coach on staff here & we can't sign any larger defensive prospects. Incredibly disappointing.
