  1. Thank You Spencer and Coach Mac. As the father of a special needs daughter, I know that words can hurt. People with special needs have feeling just like everyone one else. If you want your heart touched, spent some time with a person will special needs, You will never be the same again.
  2. This is the reasoning from HC at other schools. If we do not put the last names on the back of the uniforms, fans will have to buy programs to know who the players are therefore the school makes more money.
  3. I agree with the article. I like the classic designs. When you see the helmet you know who is playing right off the bat. You do not have to think who is that playing you know right off. If you have a good helmet that everyone reconizes why change it.
  4. ValleyBoy has made it to Denton after a very long drive from the Great State of Alabama. GMG
  5. I would say she is along more for the ride to make sure that Valleyboy stays out of trouble.
  6. ValleyBoy +2 from the Great State of Alabama.
  7. In Alabama we would call that Ant's in the Pant's or Ant's make home visit to see Willie. I see a few minutes has changed into 30 minutes plus.
  8. In Alabama Shortly when refering to time is usually taken as meaning not 5 hr later. We are still waiting. Hopfully shortly has changed to in a few minutes. Has Harry left the building.
  9. While at Georgia Southern, Brent and the other QB's worked together to help each other be the best football player that they could be. I would expect nothing less from Brent. Does he want to be the started? Yes he does, but if Derek wins the starting job I can tell you that Brent is Man enought to suport Derek. Brent knows the team comes first. little me, BIG TEAM.
  10. http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/drc/sports/stories/DRC_unt_0405.251ccb4fa.html “Antonio Johnson is the most improved player in our offensive line and is one of the real success stories on this football team so far,” UNT head coach Dan McCarney said.
  11. It is a horse race and the two are neck-in-neck and it is still a long way to the finnish line.
  12. Thanks for the updates Brett. Oustanding coverage job you are doing of the Mean Green practices. I will have to buy you a large cup of coffee if we ever meet.
  13. All is right in the world, Vito keep the updates coming.
  14. This question should also be ansewered. Will glick1980 be on-line to know if Vito is blogging at 6:00 am. I know that I will be on-line at 7:00 am est.
  15. You play like you practice. You practice hard, you play hard. You practice soft with white kid gloves on your hands that is the way you will play when it is crunch time. Players WILL get hurt, it is a contact sport.

  17. Thank you for the updates Brett.
  18. I guess I will have to watch which thread's I post in. Brent is very happy at UNT and has NO plans on leaving for Spain as far as I know.
  19. Good to hear. Have a great time in Spain, just remember "The rain in Spain fall's mainly on the Plain"
  20. I have never been to Spain, but did adopt a child from Russia in 2000 and there was access to the internet. So therefore I know that if you wanted to stay in touch with gomeangreen.com you could. Where there is a will there is a way. You just have to have the right priorities. But have a good time in Spain.
  21. Nader, a former presidential candidate, argued that his plan would also help reduce the "win-at-all-costs" mentality in high schools, by reducing the incentive of college scholarships. I have to disagree with the above statement from Nader. The "win-at-all-costs" mentality in high schools has nothing to do with the number of players from that team that will receive college sports scholarships. First to even get a sports scholarship the player has to first be a good student. How many of us have seen kids play high school sport's that do not go to the next level because they just cannot make the grade. Most colleges can not afford to take the chance on the kids now because of the chance to lower there APR. If they have trouble making the grade in high school how will they make the grade in college. Also most high school are not sports scholarship mills.
