  1. I am ready for the game and I think there will be another good student turnout, most of us still have classes Wed, and would like to see one more game before we all go home for the break. Hopefully UNT takes care of business because I don't think I could handle another nail-biter like the Tech game.
  2. I wanna agree with this, I just wish his arm was a tad bit stronger.
  3. How does going to law school make you a quitter? Point of college is to get an education not play sports.
  4. I say schedule TCU and SMU to get more local media attention, but then again if we advance deep into the NCAA Tournament I think that would be better attention anyway (atleast we could only hope).
  5. MORE FLAGS MORE FUN! Works for Six Flags.. I don't see how this is an issue, the students did it, the students showed up and were loud the whole entire time and did not leave early, and more importantly the students are not saying it was unnecessary. For once in my time at UNT people are actually talking about basketball in class instead of how we don't win football games. This should be a non-issue.
  6. No way on this one. College games should feature their fights songs and other pep songs, and I think our basketball pep band does an awesome job of getting everyone pumped up. I would hate to see our games turn in to a NBA type game with rap music playing before play starts. Since this is turning into a wish list type of thread- things I would love to see is improve our basketball program is schedule highly ranked mid majors since that is what we are striving to become. I would love to see a Gonzaga or Butler get knocked off at the Super Pit. Also keep up bringing in Big XII schools and other regional schools, fans and students love that. Personally I would love to see us play TAMU, and even schools like TCU and SMU at home. Our basketball program is on the verge of great things and I hope our University can rally around it.
  7. North Texas 27 ULM 20 Dodge 1/0 for 130 yards. Lance Dunbar 180 yards 2 TD's Zach Olen 2 Field goals.
  8. I figured that has always been around, we have been doing that since my Freshman year two years ago.
  9. Awesome video! I don't see how this is unnecessary? An overtime thriller against a big name school in the state, with a packed crowd on a banner raising night. Anything less but a crowd rush would have been a let down in my opinion. If you pause at 1:09 you can see me at the top of the three point arch. crap- I meant to give you a plus one, clicked the wrong one. Obviously I'm still gittery about tonight.
  10. Student section showed up big time tonight, great job.
  11. As long as they don't put Johnny Jones on the short list I wish them good luck.
  12. Trisitan played a tough game, I don't know how many times he laid his body out on the line trying to pick up a charge or drive through the lane.
  13. Trying to get a headstart on finals. In all seriousness, the crowd tonight makes me think of what North Texas can be in the future with every sport with the leadership and growing spirit of the student body. Good things are ahead.
  14. The student section was awesome tonight, and we came early. My girlfriend and I got there 30 minutes before tipoff and we were still stuck sitting at the top row of the lower bowl. I have never had more fun or been more pumped up for a sporting event ever. This will be one of the best memories of my time as a studnent at UNT. Hopefully this crowd will carry throughout this great season.
  15. It was not a rhetorical question, I actually wanted to know the attendance.
  16. There is a facebook group that has over 1,000 students saying they will attend. I think we will show up in force, a lot of my friends who usually don't go to games are going. All that said im guessing low 7,000 range. What was the OSU attendance?
  17. I disagree, to put in another context- Rangers will raise both the AL West banner and AL Championship banner, both should rightfully be raised. Same can be said about UNT. For the game itself, in my three years at UNT this is the most excited I have been for a sporting event. Our basketball team is set for another great run and I think this is the first step of getting the team and fans on board for a run at the Big Dance.
  18. Yeah I think you are lowballing the attendance number, not bad for an exhibition game to be honest. I really think we could get more students out there if UNT tried to get the word out more, this whole week I saw nothing on campus advertising the game, nor have I seen any advertisement for the Tech game.
  19. Side question- faculty and staff have to pay for sporting events? I have always figured it was free for them, just like students.
  20. Man I'm pumped for this season and the future of NT basketball. I'm mad I have to graduate in year and won't be able to see this great class as much as I would want to.
