  1. Ever watch a game on HD? HD makes Hockey Easier to follow. Many people believe HD will save hockey on tv, that has yet to be seen mainly because they don't broadcast enough games in hd. I love hockey and grew up in deep south Texas, don't really know how I go into it. But I agree that to truely understand it you have to see a game live. I sit nose bleed most times, I have been lucky enough recently to get decent seats, But I don't mind the AAC views in the nosebleed, I prefer the way it was at old reunion.
  2. he only gets a pass for one season, Hockey season, that is. Not baseball.

Johan Holmqvist is a reliable NHL goaltender and somebody that we will be confident in each time he is in net. It was difficult to part ways with Jeff, Jussi and Mike, since they are all consummate professionals who have done great things for our organization. Tampa Bay is getting a solid trio of players and we thank them for all they did for the Dallas Stars.” “We are thrilled to acquire Brad Richards, a top-line talent who can play with any combination of line-mates,” said Co-General Manager Brett Hull. “His Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP of the 2004 playoffs shows he is capable of great things in the postseason. He is certainly a major addition to our group.” Richards, 27, has appeared in 62 games with Tampa Bay this season, posting 18 goals and 33 assists for 51 points with nine power play goals and four game-winners. 7. Stars just made a major trade. Tampa bay's Brad Richards for Smith, Halpern, jokinen. What do you guys think about this. I think it could work, my only concern is not having a decent backup net minder,
  8. Think Pizza Hut Park, But Better! I think getting the music school involved is a great idea, they could hold special outdoor 4th of july concerts and stuff. It would drive up the cost to have all the things they would need to sound good in a stadium, but maybe that way we can find a music donor.
  9. I chose to come to North Texas, from deep South Texas. For several reason's... and Island Eagle I agree that NT seemed to have what I was looking for in a university, and I too never regreted it. What I do regret is when I tell people to join the exes and donate money, I always get this standard response, "Why Should I? They never gave me a scholarship. What do I get out of it." That's the mentality that has to change and I agree with FFR earlier "rant." I say to him Preach on Brother, and I know you do. It seems to me the problem is we are preahing to the choir, we need to help spread the good that UNT does for the student and how athletics can improve the "worth" of our degree. Thanks for your efforts as well flyer.
  10. New Orleans – North Texas junior guard Collin Dennis has been named the Sun Belt Conference player of the week for games played between February 18 – February 24. It is the second honor for Dennis this season (Jan. 14/Feb. 25), and coupled with two previous honors by teammate Josh White (Nov. 20/Dec. 11) gives North Texas a league high four player of the week winners this season. Dennis averaged 18 points for the week and helped North Texas complete a pair of season sweeps against Louisiana-Monroe and Arkansas State. The junior tallied 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting in an 82-77 win over ASU on February 23. He had 12 points, four rebounds and two steals in the Mean Green’s 72-40 win at ULM on February 20, the largest margin of defeat in Fant-Ewing Coliseum history. For the week, Dennis hit 13-of-20 (65.0 percent) of his field goal attempts, including 8-of-10 (80.0 percent) from beyond the three-point line. Way to go Dennis. Go Mean Green!!!
