Is Fouts the oldest in the SBC?
Probably. In the "world of stadiums", only the Coliseum in Rome is older than Fouts.

I've only been to Cajun Field. I agree with the sitelines and "almost bowl" look, but the place is old and really needs a facelift. Too much grass growing through the cement cracks and the whole place could use a good pressure washing/sand blasting job. Still a nice stadium.

I have never ever seen anything like this outside of UNT. and for some reason there has been three of them since my involvement with this friggin university. What's the deal??!!?!
Before this goes any further, I pray that the hawk returns to campus soon.

Nice overview of CUSA stadiums. Other than UAB's Legion Field were no game was being played, can you guess which stadium shown in the thread is just about empty??

I have been a lurker in the forum since Harry started the site. I have enjoyed all of your insights but have not taken part in any of the discussions to date. Since we are now entering the Dodge era I feel like I have decided to join the fray. Should have done it a long time ago, but...
I look forward to the discussion on North Texas sports and their progress. Hopefully you will allow an old lurker to join the ranks.

If SOW does not appear anywhere on the new uniforms, then what we are seeing is the "debranding" of a North Texas tradition, the Eagle, that has been with this university for many years. I'll be disappointed.

Did someone on GMG talk to one of the players about the helmet on Sunday?
Yes. I read on the board somewhere that the player said the helmets would be white with North Texas on the sides. He also said that he personally did not like the dark, all-green uniforms of the past few years.

Excellent question GreenBat! Where are the recruits, especially after reaching the NCAA's. A five year extension is just crazy. What is RV thinking? If RV signs JJ to a five year deal, it'll be right up there with the boneheaded Slinker extension. RV could be a real problem for us.

On another note: Do you think if the Athletic Department sent out press releases for every big donation made, like A&M does on their website (aggieathletics.com), that NT alums would be willing to donate more? I know the athletic department keeps a lot of things under wraps, and maybe a more public approach might excite people a bit more if you know what I'm saying.
I knew it! We have had stealth recruiting under DD and now Stealth Fundraising.

We need to get a baseball team and finish our stadium to clearly set ourselves a part as a program.
They would be prime stuff for CUSA. They have a baseball team and even tho their stadium only holds 15K its very easy to expand, plus it's a pretty nice stadium.
I think it would be fun to have them in the 'belt- we've played them more than any other program. Would create a natural rivalry, and Im always down for a river trip.
Dont care to have them anywhere near us. Most of my friends went there and I dont need to hear from them about whether they beat us or not.
These fans sure had better figure Title IX into their big plans. 1A means more scholarships for football. What about the gals?
Plus, isn't this about the 50th time TSU-San Marcus has conducted this task force study?
