  1. I think there's a difference between small school and small program. He should learn the definitions
  2. We've done this before and it's a horrible idea. Giving up a home game and losing home field advantage defeats the purpose of why we built apogee but more importantly slows down the progress of building our program. Beating smu in our house will do more for what we want to accomplish.
  3. 100% true. so will baseball survive this generation?
  4. Which brings us to other issue with baseball....over saturation. way too many games that don't mean anything, play the same teams way too many times, etc We value football season because games matter due to the number of games in a season and you see teams play only once against each other, maybe twice.
  5. Agree with that. Funny how something that you think helps you save time instead takes up more of your life. Agree with the bit about going to baseball games and connecting with your kid. The problem is baseball is not helping parents bring their kid into the baseball fold so to speak. Games are way too long and most start late. Football gets it right that most games are on the weekend during the day. Even NT's Saturday night games start at 6 most of the time. Rangers start at 7? and could go 4 hours depending on the style of play. Makes it hard for kids to go to an entire game or even watch a whole game on tv. Nba, mls, nhl all those games are a little over 2 hours. By the time our games are over I'm home by 10pm most of the time. For the rangers it could be 1130. /rant/
  6. Used to be, but unfortunately they've slacked off on courting the kids market. Within the next 50 years baseball will probably become the 5th ranked sport in America if not lower. My kid would be bored if I took him to a game, way to slow.
  7. I wondered the same thing. Last time I checked Houston was just barely ahead of us
  8. You ain't lying. Pretty much falls in the sports dead zone part of the year too. I'm not counting baseball, which isn't a sport ;-)
  9. I don't buy or support crap slogan shirts that people don't understand. If you want buy one by all means go ahead. Now if it had said "eat the rich" and showed a fat cat pony sitting on a pile of money smoking a cigar? Then I might have bought one
  10. No kidding. What ever happened to basic checks and balances. Especially when it comes to using a card after being gone someone has to get the bill and you would think double check the charges? From when I was at NT you couldn't purchase anything without proper paperwork submitted. Maybe it just ends up being filed without being looked at
  11. If that's their t-shirt design we're screwed
  12. I see what you're trying to do there. Just because the Michael Sam thread is now locked doesn't mean you should take it out on this poor guy who really likes his cat, I mean really really likes his cat
  13. He'll never make it, he isn't even passing in the picture! [Derek prints, puts on bulletin board]
  14. Oh yes, nice work. of course you notice the white guy is innocent
  15. Hmm not sure. Running Man would be similar, Escape from New York (with Kurt Russell I think)?
  16. Not to mention a tv idea that a producer would love to buy into. Kinda sick of you to even mention Nevermind, just remembered, your theory already has been disproven. Look at Australia!
  17. Seriously this thread has some weird turns. Not sure what to say. um... I used to love geto boys. If I really want to annoy my wife though I bust out some shaq diesel!
  18. Hmm, comparing gay sex to man made inventions. Interesting argument. But seriously, the video is really funny
  19. Even Charles Darwin would laugh at two men getting married. I have a degree in child development and if there one thing I learned it's that if a 100 gay men are stranded on an island in a hundred years no-one will be there. Certain things are made to work a certain way
