We need a strong first round. Slow starts have been an issue.

I wouldn't wonder if his health is declining, but I would be inclined to believe the stroke was an indication of the need for the bypass surgery. Just an opinion.

We are recruiting against Sun Belt and CUSA level teams on a "national" level.
We used to recruit and win battles against the Big 12 in Texas...
Outside of the 2012 class with Williams, Jones and Robinson, was this really the case?

Anybody that rates the Astrodome ahead of The Ballpark loses credibility right there.
Baseball is to be played out doors, as is football, etc...
Stadium rankings (Top 5):
1. Fenway
2. Wrigley
3. Ballpark
4. PNC Park
5. MMP
I haven't been to Camden Yards, but hope to make it there soon.
I grew up in the Denton and have also lived in Houston. Dallas really could care less about what goes on in Houston. Their sports teams are an afterthought mainly because the Oilers/Texans are in the AFC, the Astros, until this year (travesty) were in the National League where they belong (FIRE SELIG), and the Rockets and Mavs have never been good at the same time.

Who said anything about race? Not I.
Course, as a superior of mine once told me "A guilty conscience needs no accuser"
Taking a page out of the John Wiley Price, Al Lipscomb, Diane Ragsdale playbook officer? It is called baiting, and you appear to be masterful. Pun intended.

The same national media said the hiring of Benford was a home run and a better hire than Brown at SMU. Let the results dictate the effectiveness.

I would prefer those in the 280+ range, but TCU has done well with undersized linemen.

Looks to me like we are recruiting on a national level. While I agree the main focus should be on the DFW areas for high school talent, we should also keep in contact with other areas should those commitments fall through.

If we win, does it matter?

Vito reported in his blog this morning that we have offered LB Dakota Allen.

Speaking of TE Marcus Smith, any update on his recovery? He is a physical specimen, but I'm a little concerned considering he had knee surgery in HS and then again last year.

Sounds like RV is trying to rescue another Benfotd F up.
Sounds like another assumption to me.

So technically, if it is cancelled, then UTA is backing out.
Side, it's a contract. Both sides have to agree to any alterations. When the UTA AD says the contract is cancelled, that indicates that he is not real flexible in bumping it back a year, unless that agreement was written into said contract.
I'm site we want to push it back a year, but unless UTA agrees, we will probably have to write then a check.
I mean, how can poor, poor little ole UNT afford a &40k check?- 1

I understand. My point is that everyone is making a big deal and jumping to conclusions before the facts are in.
So, JJ got skewered for having a weak nonconference schedule and Benford is skewered for strengthening it. Plus, if NT's side is the correct one, they aren't cancelling just pushing it back a year. Aren't you the same person that complains when we have more road games than home games? If NT's side is correct, they are just trying to balance the schedule.- 2

Yes he does.

1. Every HS coach in Texas knows who he is.
2. Most HS players know who he is.
3. The hire removes him from Sumlin's staff.
4. Formidable recruiting hire when combined with Major, who's duties have been expanded.
Didn't realize sleeping with a student qualified as "expanded duties."
Does it really matter what offensive system he knows/ran? Jack Pardee came out of 6-man football, played for Bear Bryant and ended up a coach that endorsed the run and shoot.

It seems there is a disagreement between the UTA AD and RV as to whether or not is gas been cancelled.
Reading between the lines (always a dicey proposition), it looks like we have pissed off UTA and they probably won't sign up for another series.
Either that, or they are holding us to the contract, not agreeing to move the game, and demanding a payout as stated in the contract while we are trying to convince them still to accept a one year delay.
Either way, yet another black eye for UNT basketball.
Who cares if we pissed off UTA? If, if this is the case, how is this a black eye? If we were trying to weaken our schedule, then why would we be playing at ASU, at OU, at A&M and in this Coaches vs. Cancer tournament?
Then again, why wait until the details come out when it could possibly undermine a good knee jerk?

So, did we move it, buy it out or has nothing happened yet?
Anyone?

Did he lose the individual title in a playoff?Cazaubon also has a 2 shot advantage in the individual race.

So he is a white guy then! Oh now I get it!
I think that is my line.

Looks like he was a heck of a football player

Nah, just a two-star prospect with a bunch of MAC offers, outside of the Green Bay Packers offering, which seems odd.
Welcome to North Texas Colin.

Good luck, Clarke. Arkansas Tech is getting not only a player but a great young man as well. Go get 'em, Clarke...I have just become a fan of Arkansas Tech basketball.
Now, I just have to figure out where it is......
Edit: OK, Russellville, Arkansas....need to get a road trip together for next season!!!
My Dad played ball there decades ago. Russellville is "straight" up Highway 7 from Hot Springs. Beautiful small town. I wish Overlander nothing but success. If you've ever driven Highway 7 you know why I placed straight in quotes. Rated as one of the most scenic drives in the United States.

Yes, that is the old north endzone scoreboard that barely worked anyway. The large Daktronics board in the south endzone is too remain.
