No it is not a joke. Mandy bust her butt to build the mean green club. Rick bust his butt to get new facilities built. Hank goes out and sells corporate sponsorships to help raise money. We are all going to be playing golf at the Trophy Club on Monday in support of athletic scholarships. What about all the behind the scenes work at the New Orleans Bowl. Heck I helped set up that tent that you guys stand under at the away games last year. A lot of people do a lot of work behind the scenes, and their reward is that the Coach talks about how difficult the situation is, and how the house is divided. Your darn right I am serious.

I am going to start recording all of DD's excuses to explain his future failures. His total budget for assistants salaries is completely in his control. He divides the money where he wants to. If he would hire young coaches for less than he paid the ones who left, then he could afford to pay his offensive and defensive coordinator more. Instead of allocating a big raise to his admin, he could pay his coaches more. All of this doesn't matter. He knows next season is put up or shut up time. There are several teams in our conference that quite possibly have left us behind. Time will tell. Which man are we going to get? I failed because I didn't work hard enough, or I failed because I didn't get a new academic center, practice facility, athletic center, new turf at Fouts, new video equipment, a brand new truck to drive for free. After we pay coaches more than we can afford, what is going to be the next excuse? I am wondering if DD has a mirror in his house? How about just win, don't kill the momentum that the rest of the athletic department staff has helped to build.

I have gone to a "kickoff luncheon" for the past three years. It has been in the gateway center and DD speaks. As for as the funding for the football stadium, Lee Jackson has to decide to support a capital campaign fund just like happened with the new Athletic Center. People pledge a certain amount of money over time, and then the University loans the money to build the stadium based on pledges.

If you ask me, I think Jmo looked like he was favoring his hamstring in the green white game. He sure didn't look real explosive. I know he made a couple of nice runs, but he should have torn up that white defense. IMHO

I do not think there is a conspiracy, just priorities of those in charge. We are going to have a new president soon. Dr. Pohl resigned to pursue other interest in academics across the country. In other words, he quit without having another job. What does this mean? To me it means that he was tired of something, maybe burned out. I have heard that Lee Jackson is a very hard man to work for. It is also been by more than one person that his priorities are with UNT Dallas, not UNT athletics. A lot of what PMG says is true. He is not just typing pointless dribble. I agree that you do not need 3 pages to say what can be said in one paragraph. However, he means well, and is more connected than some of you think. Mark it down, you will not hear anything about a new stadium unless you ask, and then you will get a political answer.

I hope he learns a lot from Clint Marks, then maybe we can call MUTS a victory for the next couple of years. If it wasn't for Clint Marks throwing that beautiful touchdown pass to our linebacker, we would have been 1-10 instead of 2-9 last year.

Our western division champion girls play their first game on Saturday, and look for the boys to beat Arky State on Friday and then give South Al a hell of game on Sunday only to lose.

Plumm, you can find me on the list of "capital campaign donors" in your program. I am not satisfied with the current state of the football program. Forget wins and losses, that is frustrating enough. Our kids are not disciplined. They committ penalties. They look more talented than some of the other teams that we play but are not well prepared. Our offensive game plan lacks any creativity. My guess is promoting Kenny Evans (aka the Fake Lonnie Finch on this board) to assistant head coach and hiring a new d-coordinator is meant to help fix the defense. However, my argument is the offense needed for fixing. The defense played inspired hard football last year with very young kids. Please someone answer who the guy in charge of recruiting Dallas signed this year? I am starting to wonder if Mr. Flanigan has pictures of someone doing something lewd or illegal in a filing cabinet somewhere? Untill they quiet us or we are proved wrong I going to keep demanding excellence. I donate money to make this program better. In any endeavour you are either improving or declining, you never stay the same. Which direction is football moving in now?
