  1. Darrel will not resign because of his buyout. RV is going to have to drag his sorry butt into his office and fire him. We can only hope.
  2. Hell, I hope everyone runs up the score.
  3. I have a complaint about how I watched the game. I was slumped in my seat sulking for part of the game, laughing out loud for other parts of the game, drinking more beer than normal because of my agitated mood, not yelling for our kids like normal, and realizing that a huge loss followed by another huge loss next week at homecoming is the best thing that can happen right now. I am glad that fraud has been exposed. I feel sorry for the defensive coach, because I believe he is a heck of a coach.
  4. Please for the love of god give up on R.C. Slocum.
  5. And the next sequel, coaching entire teams past mediocrity and into total and complete failure.
  6. What we are seeing now is not a result of cycles. It is a result of poor recruiting during and after the 9-3 season when we lost to Memphis in the NO Bowl. I remember DD's attitude during that weekend. He thought he was going to get hired away and lost valuable ground recruiting that year. What they have done is not capitilized on their success. They got lazy and thought things would come to them. This is no one's fault but Darrel Dickey. He has created his "difficult circumstances" himself. Cycles mean that we go 7-5 or 6-6 and lose some close but competitive games. It does not mean that we hit rock bottom, and make no mistake folks, last place in the easiest conference in 1-A is rock bottom. It is ashamed that every other aspect of the athletic program is moving forward, but our football team is going backwards. I have faith the the leadership of this university will do the right thing during or after this season is over. If they don't, then I cannot support what is going on now with football.
  7. We have to give the powers that be a chance to do the right thing this year. We have come too far to give up now. I personally have invested too much time and money to give up on it. I have faith that the leadership at this university is not going to tolerate the lack of competitiveness that we are seeing now. It is one thing to lose, but the way we are losing is intolerable. If changes are not made this season then it will be time for my family to cut bait and turn resources to something honorable and worthwile. Basketball season can't get here fast enough.
  8. If we don't throw him the ball more, all it will be is a watch list.
  9. Your are correct, Bobby Ray is a huuuuuge financial donor. Maybe the largest year over year.
  10. Bobby Rays appointment as chairman of the board of regents expires next may. There is no guarantee he will not be reappointed by the governor. Let us all hope that he is tired of the mess that comes with being the chairman of any board. As for the capital campaign for the new stadium, I have already been approached and verbally committed to support it. For some reason they are holding the start of the capital campaign until after the season. Hmmmmmm.
  11. We certainly had the ability to beat Tulsa, with the right playcalling we could have made that game interesting early with the turnovers. Troy is going to be the team we have to go through to win the belt. By the way, the best thing for this programs future is to go 2-5 in the Sun Belt this year. I just don't think anybody is good enough to beat us.
  12. Who in the lousy SBC do we not have a chance to beat? I didn't say that we will run the table, but honestly who do you think is an impossible win?
  13. Hard nosed runner that was not afraid to get tough yards. Could push the defense a yard if he needed to. Greg Carter
  14. Idaho Udaho Shedaho, why didn't he go?
  15. If its 8.5 there is a good possibility I will wager (loose) my house, my dog, and my first born. I predict 37-3
  16. DD has a 25 conference win streak and four bowl appearances. Who has tried to hire DD away from us? ←
  17. Ill add one www.17andahalfpointsisalocktakeakron.com
  18. Michael Pruitt No nonsense defensive tackle who was tenacious. Relentless player who never gave up on a play. He just kept coming at you down after down. Now for some old school Marcus "Scamper" Camper
  19. I stood on the field, it is brand new field turf. I aked RV and he said that they installed it last year. It is not exactly the same as ours, because the yarns in the carpet are a little finer. But it is new.
  20. I do not hate Ramon Flanigan. In the world I live in my job relies on results. Results in my world are measured in profitability. It would seem that results in the college football world are also measurable. #1 Recruiting class 108th #2 Offensive Stats 118th #3 Wins and losses (use the one you want, last year, OOC, lifetime) It seems that 1 leads to 2 which results in 3. In the real world people like me report to investors or "owners" Who are the investors in this program? The board of regents? Alumni? People who donate a majority of the money? I just want the results to speak, not excuses about lack of a new stadium. The stadium that I drove 4 hours for to watch a game in on Saturday night was a much bigger dump than ours. The Athletic director and presidents box was a little concrete area stuck in the middle of the student section. At our place they are air conditioned and out of the weather. They had new field turf just like us, but everything else, including the restrooms were run down. No Jumbotron for replays. However, can you argue with Kragthorpes success? I say no. He recruits these kids to Tulsa and wins the dang Liberty Bowl last year. I dare say that they do not complain about facilities. They had an athletic center under construction in the endzone that was a fraction of the size of ours. I quit, I am giving myself tired head. Back to the real world for 15 minutes untill I can't resist and click on again.
  21. Illuvius What you are saying is the five plays we have now don't work, and we don't have enough protection to get the ball to a tight end in the middle, or any other player to try to loosen the linebackers up? This is a line of crap. Stop drinking Ramon's punch out of whatever container your getting it out of and be a real journalist. If we can't block then who did a poor job recruiting offensive lineman. Tell me who the running back is we signed this year to replace J-Mo. Tell me who hard working Ramon Flanigan has brought to the table, and why did Meager get playing time instead of Phillips. We were only down 21-3 and we came in with a new quarterback and ran the ball, instead of trying to throw it? The first half was exciting, even inspiring. The second half made me want to puke. It was like we were giving up.
  22. My favorite part of the game was when I was standing on the sidelines and we put Meager in and ran the ball the first two plays while we were down 21-3.
  23. I understand what you are saying about fouts, but I am saying you sell to your positives, not defend your negatives. I believe that we are going to have a new football stadium in five to seven years. However right now, we have what we have, and it aint all bad.
