WORST ROAD SWEATER 1. Washington - When they first changed from the red and blues, these weren't that bad. But its time for a change. But, they changed for the worse. Not only do the logos on the road and home jerseys differ, but the colors are too opposite. White is teel and black with copper trim. Colored is Black with copper and trimmed in teel. Ditch the black, they might be bearable. Change the white jerseys to match, or change the colored jerseys back to teel. A tear always comes to my eye when I think of the history and pagentry behind hockey. I can't hold back everytime I think about the 1980 US Hockey team.

I considered Montreal and Toronto, but aside from Vancouver, I think that the Canadian teams should always be thought of in a different light. I can't compare them to the rest of the NHL. Except for the Original 4 and then the original 6, They are on a different stage. A higher stage.

I know that our history's heroes are all flawed in some way, except for Christ of course. However, I heard that this new version was to portray the Texans as war mongers, evil, and as the bad guys. Hope Im wrong.

Ahhh yes, Im a typical Cowboys fan. If by typical you mean someone who follows them through their hard times, then yes I am. I have been a big Cowboys fan all my life. One of my earliest memories is watching a game with my dad. I think I have earned the right to be pissed and need a break from them.

Turco was shaky at times during the playoffs, but remember this was his first year. Many good and hall of fame goalies are shaky in their first playoff run. This guy has the skill and the ability to be a stud. Man I hope we sign him.

I am a huge hockey fan, and I have not liked this off season one bit. But now I am getting concerned. Turco still has not signed with Dallas. This guy is going to be a top NHL goalie. However, he is young. He needs to get signed and practice with the team before training camp progresses. I feel he is going to resign with Dallas, but I feel he needs the most practice time available.

I see alot of speculation about hockey and the rink at UNT, so here are the facts. First off, there will be no rink in the forseeable future. There is no land available. When the highway constrution is done, its going to run right on the doorstep of the Murchinson Center, and the Exxon and McDonalds are going to be gone. So, there is literally NO land available. If the Stars were to do anything it would be for non-profit. Its not feasible to give up PRIME UNT land for nothing in return. We will not have a NCAA Hockey team for a long time. First off it would through Title IX off and we would once again be non-compliant. There are no other teams in this region with NCAA teams. All of them are club teams. In order for us to move to NCAA, all of the other schools would have to move up at the same time. Even if they wanted to, there is still the problem of facilities. If I remember correctly, you have to have your home venue within a certain distance from your campus. So, even if we DID have a rink, not all of the other schools would have a venue. All of the schools have to go in together, or its a waste. Also, We will have a baseball team long before a hockey team. As much of a hockey fan and student of the game I am, I have to admit that baseball makes more sense. Being in the D/FW metroplex, we are sitting on a gold mine of talent regarding baseball players. When TU won the national championship, I was amazed at the number of players that were from this area. While hockey is booming at an incredible rate, and i enjoy it more, for us baseball makes more sense. Maybe in the future...

If you haven't heard, the Rice Owls defeated the tu shortwhorns Wednesday in the CWS semis. I don't know about you, but I'm always happy to see the failure of one of those sorry sob money whore schools. I never realized just how much I hate them until just recently, but now I am full fledged anti bcs. If anyone did watch it, did you notice how many of the tu kids on the team had that country boy redneck look? Also, I got sick and tired of those horny camera men panning in on the hot tu girls every five minutes. I agree they have some attractive girls, but come on, try taking a cold shower every once in a while.
