At James Madison. So am I correct that James Madison was playing 1-AA football 2 years ago and now as a Sun Belt team is hosting College Game Day? What does that say about our historic football program?

Anyone else notice the horizontal blue tab at bottom of screen? How can one get rid of the blue tab “American Football” that pops up at the bottom of the screen? If I close it out it turns into a blue box. IT’s really annoying.

It’s amazing that just one individual can have such a disastrous affect on the outcome of an entire season. Unfortunate for players, fans and program.

I really feel sorry for our players, especially our offensive guys who because of one hardheaded, incompetent individual they will not be able to showcase their talents by playing in a Bowl game this year.

And when you’re guaranteed that kind of money win or lose there can be little motivation. We are one lost society.

Yeah, and since we were in the game at the half our coaches probably said, “keep doing what you’re doing fellows. We have them right were we want them”.

It’s a shame to have built a fairly nice football stadium and IPF only to have no clue how to win and fill the venue. Pathetic. What a waste of resources. I guess the clowns running the show actually fell for the line, “build it and they will come”

We are never going to get enough top talent to compete and win an AAC title in football. Like someone already alluded to any quality players we do cultivate will only be lured away to the programs offering big bucks. We literally are now nothing more than part of a farm system for the major programs. Even if we did have a magical season it will never be sustainable. Not anymore. Having a succession of apathetic and incompetent Administrations for decades has not only contributed but also sealed our fate. This football program has been cursed for a very long time. The only hope is to find administrators and personnel who understand how to break the curse. I do not believe those individuals who possess those skills are currently associated with UNT. *based on over 50 years of observation.

You know I have never witnessed espn pan our stadium as much as they did last Saturday. I mean the “whole” stadium. I kept thinking they were mocking us (yeah sure this is D1 football) because that facility was empty. Now, I will say the stadium though empty did look really impressive on TV.

“To build on for next year?” It’s always next year. That’s the pattern and the problem. We always assume there will be a next year. Meanwhile some get rich waiting for next year.

Well recently, Mac was a big mistake. Littrell was a big mistake. Foolish one sided contracts were big mistakes. We lost what, 10 years of building a strong program by foolish, inept decisions by our administrators?

So there is now technology available that TV cameras have the ability to delete people in the stands making the attendance on tv look much smaller than it actually is. Yeah. Sure.
