we have to remember that this is their first game. how many of our opponents last year would've been licking their chops after game at UT?

there's an easy solution to all of this: reinitiate the oil drilling at Bayside High School. I think Jessie would have a more difficult time getting students to join her in her "stop the drilling, stop the oil!" rant. i know that Debbie's life could've been saved, but at this point the state-of-the-art gym looks pretty appealing.

it's upsetting yes, but did we "embarrass" the belt last year when we dropped an egg against FAU?

wow! i donated a little cash at that booth yesterday and had no clue that it was RV ( i guess i should make his picture my wallpaper so that it doesn't happen again). anyways, he and the players there expressed such thankfulness to me for my measly $20 donation. what a great gesture!

as stupid as that sounds, i think it's a good thing because there are too many students on campus who probably don't know that our football stadium is called fouts field. while i'm assuming that these students will not attend anyways, just in case, it helps because "stadium" makes it pretty obvious.

i completely agree. this game should be cancelled so everyone can worry about the important things...plus, it gives us one less loss!

when they were leading into the story, they were still using the script logo (and it looked good). obviously, i prefer this to the star thing that espn uses, but if we're trying to get our new logo out there, why does fox sports southwest not have it to use?

believe me, i'm not getting upset at the fact that he said it (i was obviously dissapointed, but i was completely understanding). the thing that upsets me is that he then tried to call our team "beloved". i'm realistic and would always say that we are below the other big programs in the state, but i wouldn't say that it keeps me from getting interested in college football. had i not come here, then no, i wouldn't care about local college football probably, but i did and i do! he did and he should.

i don't know if anyone heard it last night, but i heard it last night, but i heard the online replay this morning of whatever show mike taylor was hosting on espn radio last night. anyways, he was doing a college football segement about the lack of big names coming to play ball in the metroplex this year. he listed all the teams coming to the area and kept saying that he can't get into college football because he doesn't get to see any big time programs live. he was mostly saying that tcu should be in the big 12, but he then went on to say that he doesn't like having to drive to austin to see a big game. he then said that last year he traveled to austin to see his "beloved" mean green play ut and was embarrassed to be in the NT section. anyways, i was a little upset during his rant against local college football, but when he mentioned his "allegiance" to NT, i was irrate! that attitude coming from an alum is exactly what needs correcting at this school. i know there are way too many who feel the same way, but because he's able to go on the air with this attitude makes it 10x worse. i emailed him already, but if anyone wants to join me his email is: Mike.Taylor@espn1033.com

sorry, i thought it was the cool thing to do

i'm not sure if it's on newsstands, but it came in the mail. it's not a big article, just their college fb preview and it has a "countdown" section on the side of one of the pages. two very small pictures (one of each).

the aug 15 SI has jmo and pc in their "countdown" section. "2 running backs on the north texas roster - senior patrick cobbs and sophomore jamario thomas - who have led the nation in rushing". even has pictures of both backs. this just keeps getting better!

i think people should settle down with the criticism of the writer's description of north texas. he was trying to emphasize the fact that these two great backs are playing at a "lower level" school, so he's obviously going to have to lower us a little bit more for the feat to seem more impressive. it was a great write up about our school and our backs.

if someone could recap, that would be great because i had to leave for an exam during the actual interview
