When I was little, one of my favorite books was "Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel." Mike and his steam shovel were known far and wide as the best at digging. So, upon this occasion, they were digging the basement for a big building and they were up against a deadline. So Mike and his steam shovel dug, and dug and dug and the basement was finished and the building completed on time. And under budget (I made that part up).
But when the smoke cleared, Mike and the Steam Shovel was stuck in the basement with no was to get out. Sooooo...the steam shovel bucket was removed and the steam shovel's boiler used to heat the building. Happy ending.
So my question to you is, how are those 6 or 8 big earth moving machines going to get out of the playing area ? Will they be air lifted out ? Be buried ? Is there need for a boiler in the middle of a football field ? I've looked around the sides of the playing surface and I don't see how these big machines get out. Dissambled ?

Ahem...Back to the topic
There are scaffolds around the east leg of the scoreboard along with some bricks. I wonder why the small bit of yellow board still has not been sealed at the top of the scoreboard ?

PS...After looking over the UN-C Women's basketball site, I noticed that former NT ass't Angela Ortega is / was on the Aston staff. I wonder if Ortega might come back to North Texas as well ?

There are some really nice homes on Tremont Street in the Denia neighborhood. Some back up to the old golf course. An easy walk to the Athletic Center. Plus, Coach Mac could get one of those windshield passes if he wanted to drive on Willowwood within 1 1/2 hours of kickoff.

Name tags couold be worn with a t-shirt, a polo shirt, on the lapel of a sport jacket, or on a ball cap. A name tag won't get so dirty a quick wipe with a paper towel can't clean it. And lastly, ONE SIZE FITS ALL. No need to ask it the name tag is 100% cotton, etc.

This is the greatest hijack of an otherwise harmless thread that I have ever seen.
But if there's more interest in name tags (green name tags) than in power gloves, I'll find out what the cost would be. We could even include "member since" information if desired. And the number of power gloves one has at home.

How would the GMG family feel about GOMEANGREEN.COM name tags ? I envision a green plastic tag with a magnetic backing with one's GMG name and the member's real name. I go to events and later hear of other GMG members being at the same event but I have no idea who some of you are.
On the other hand, do most of the GMG members perfer to be invisible ? to be able to voice opinions or ideas that they'd rather not be associated with in person ?
Just a thought. And I get to pick the shade of green. My idea.

This was really fun. The Bride's family was dressed in Green and the Groom's family in White. The Bride's Mom fell a week or so ago and broke her ankle. she is the one in the wheelchair, although she was able to stand for pictures. These are great fans and they are looking foward to buying season tickets and watching Mean Green history. They've already made some Mean Green history by holding their wedding at the new stadium. It was windy Saturday, but everybody seemed to have a great time. I hope to see them in September when we beat Houston.

Today, I am presiding over what I believe to be the first wedding ever at the New Mean Green Stadium. I'm writing this at 2:00 so things might change a bit, but right now the plan is for the wedding party to stand on the deck facing the stadium. This is a couple that went to North Texas and wanted to have their wedding on campus. When I suggested the stadium, they laughed and said the stadium was where they wanted to marry in the first place, but they didn't think I'd go for it. Funny how things work out.
Look for us during the 4:00 segment. I'll be the guy in the black gown.
