We are going to lose this game. We have only had success on offense really throwing deep, but they are starting to get pressure on Fine. On the other hand they have long plays on throws. runs, QB runs, whatever they want.

I hate to complain about scoring a TD, but we scored too fast. We need to keep our defense off the field.

We need a 15 play drive for a TD. Keep them off the field for awhile.

Our offense has zero patience. We could move it up and down the field against them, but let’s not do that. Let’s go deep every other play.

I kind of expected the On field result, so I was disappointed but not surprised. We are 2 more good recruiting classes away from being at that level, but on the right track. However, even more embarrassing to me was the bands. Houston demonstrated what a real band does at football games. Our band is incredibly bad from a football game atmosphere perspective. Just one example, Houston plays really loudly when we had the ball, right up to a second before the snap in some cases. When Houston has the ball we play yes very politely and stopped WAAAY before they snapped the ball. Like the entire 25 second clock before.

You do realize that if your Nickel guy leads in tackles, that’s not good right? Also, pretty sure CK4 dreams of playing baby bird for the starting offensive line because he likes their size.

I think our secondary is going to get exposed again. The stats might look better the last 2 games, but they haven’t been tested at all by a WB/WR core since SMU. And we all know what grade we got on that test. Tune isn’t Buchelle by any stretch, but will be more accurate than King. hou 38 MG 27

My bad, but was still a close game against a good team.

I expected it to be more like 7 points. Don’t be misled by their 1-3 record, their losses were at OU, at Washington State and at Tulane. All very good teams on the road In a very short time span, 2 of the games were just by a TD. I doubt we would have played all those teams as close as Houston did on the road. Houston is a team we don’t match up very well with - a good QB. We do not fare well against teams with strong QBs. We don’t tend to lose those games, we tend to get blown out. If we can’t run the ball very effectively and eat clock, this is not going to be a close game.
