I'd be happy with a respectable(12 points or less) loss at this point.

The press is typically relatively easy to break at first, but after dealing with it for large stretches of time, it exhausts the other team. Remember Arkansas's old "40 Minutes of hell" from about 15 years ago? It almost never worked until the last 10 minutes of the game, but then almost every possession their opposition turned the ball over.

Like Playmaker, I remember reading about Mitch in the DRC and listening on the radio(I was in Jr. High and HS). I believe I only saw him play in person 2 times unfortunately, but he lit it up both times(though we lost both games IIRC). Truly great to see him on the board!

I think Sagarin is a decent indicator of relative strength but, by no means is it the be all end all of rankings. Sagarin, RPI, the AP, the Coaches poll, your personal opinion - throw'm all up in the air and whatever they average is probably about right.

Definitely need the win since they have a NINE game road swing after this.

He hit a decent amount of homers early in his career when he was a relatively skinny guy though. I'm pretty conflicted on him too in all honesty.

I have the 2002 edition of his book. Quite impressively done. Truly a loss to the NT community.

I'm really looking forward to this game. The Huskers shoot a really high FG percentage which concerns me greatly, but I DO think we seem to match up okay against them.

I believe USC is the best one loss team. The Pac-10 is arguably the deepest conference in the country this year(8 bowl eligible teams I believe). Plus OOC wins against 3 top 25 schools(the biggest name independent, plus the SEC West Champ and the Big XII North Champ). Oregon State was a loss out of the Top 25, however if you go by the BCS ranking OSU *is* in the top 25(at #24).

Overrated? They weren't ranked and lost 3 games by less than a TD. Not overrated IMHO. You can defintely tell which of us grew up following one or the other school more than the other. Auburn was always my "pet" school in college football as a kid, so you woulda thought I woulda avoided much of the A&M/Texas rivalry. But my folks hated Texas so much, I became a Aggie one day a year by default. As I grew up I liked them even more, just cause they hated Texas. I had quite a few friends that went to A&M. All classy people.

In addition to all that was said, I think the closeness of the college arc gives more guys the idea that they can knock down the trey, even if they don't have the range to do so. This affects all college teams though.
