    class and tailgating certainly don't mix to me! while walking through the orange lot, i never think of class. plenty of places in the blue lot don't scream class either...beerman anyone??? why the focus on being classy??? IT'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL TAILGATING NOT THE OPERA!!!!!

    Why do we constantly do this? Darrell Dickey was a good coach for his time here. Honest Mean Green fans will admit that he built up a program and took it places it hadn't been. He had health problems his last to seasons and, unfortunately, clashed with his boss and a fan base his success had spoiled.

    Todd Dodge was hired to pick of the pieces and rebuild. In three seasons, he hasn't done it. In year four, finally with the help of a full compliment of experience college coaches, I think he will succeed and take to the same heights Darrell Dickey once did.

    Also, for a coach denigrated here often for running too much, it's worth noting that Johnny Quinn, who played for Darrell Dickey all four seasons, is still the All-Time Sun Belt leader in receiving yards: http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/conferences/sun-belt/leaders/rec-yds-player-career.html

    Just quit bickering about the two men. Be proud of the championships we won with Dickey and look forward to the ones we'll win with Dodge beginning this year. I've never seen a fanbase so opposed to acknowledging past successes as this one. So stupid.

    I don't want to see Parker shred the secondary. I understand he'll get his, but I hope he doesn't just decimate us.

    I don't want to see the offense score only single digits.

    I don't want to see more than 1 turnover on offense (I really don't want to see any, but against this team, 1 is excusable).

    I don't want to see kicking woes.

    I don't want to see more than 1 long kick/punt return due to poor ST coverage (again, I don't want to see any, but 1 is excusable). No scores for Clemson's kick/punt return teams!

    I don't want to see any injuries.

    I don't want to hear ESPNU announcers call us "North Texas State", or any other misnomer.

    Lastly, and most importantly, whatever the score, I don't want to see the Mean Green playing below 100% effort at any point in the game.

    If we don't see any of these things, we'll keep this game close, if not have a chance to win.

    Are you kidding? With the animosity between this thread and the Mean Green Stadium Construction Webcam thread, there's no way.

    I heard the Mean Green Stadium Construction Webcam thread was the one that convinced the mods to move this one in the first place. It's pinned you know. The Stadium Construction Webcam thread has been holding this thread back since it's inception. It would never allow this thread back into it's forum.

    Note: It says that Abron and Anderson are being recruited by Shawn Forrest. He had a rep as a great recruiter at Arkansas State. Since it takes a few years to develop recruiting relationships in particular areas....I wonder if his recruiting expertise is now starting to pay off at UNT. I don't know....just throwin' it out there.

    Great! Although it looks like Abron has trimmed down his list and has 3 schools listed with his interest as "high", and we're not one of those.

    Side note: I thought JJ offered Karim York. Is that not the case?

    Gotta play your best unless they could hamper the recovery from injury. It's Clemson...it's not the San Diego Chargers for God's sake...it's not like they are that much bigger and faster and our players have to worry about eating through a straw for the rest of their lives.

    Yeah, it's not like DeAndre McDaniel or Da'Quon Bowers won't be 1st round picks in next year's draft or anything.

    You gotta admit the risk is there for Bowers to blow by Gill and hit Tune VERY hard, or for McDaniel to punish one of the WR's for lingering in the middle too long. However, I do agree that you play your best players in every situation. Clemson or D-3 Trinity.

    Good question! Maybe LaTech gave themselves that provision when they signed on the first time? There will probably be news around that soon. Hopefully, they accepted Wright Waters' invitation.
