It’s actually a pretty good looking logo, but there’s got to be a better way to apply it to the helmets. Don’t really want to look like Oregon and would like the decal to look reasonable. The Texas with the SOW looks good from a scale perspective but I think having the state on your helmet might be a little gimmicky. It’ll be interesting to watch the athletic branding over the next few years in the new conference as we get more exposure.

Totally agree. I’ll be curious to see how many teams the conference ends up with. It’ll be 14 with the merge, but do they add 2-6 more teams and if they do, which markets enhance the media package.

If PAC12 is looking for DFW market and SMU stays the ACC course then our admin should at least pursue a conversation with key stakeholders. Especially if the media rights deal is significantly more than the AAC.

Anyone know the history of how and when the Diving Eagle that is currently being used was chosen? I’ve also seen a very similar eagle on the tail of a Royal Australian Air Force squadron jet.

Got the dub and hope the team continues to improve and make adjustments as there’s some tough competition coming.

Administration really needs to understand “profile” of UNT student in relation to athletic spectatorship.

It takes decades to build a legitimate athletic program/ brand and UNT has failed in many decades to commit and the current school admin and city of Denton leaders are finally on board. Still a lot to navigate and probably the biggest rock is the Booster’s trust and willingness.

Amazing stat pull here and thank you. Essentially, we have been .500 against our “level of competition” and not sure why we should have any different expectations. The facilities and brand are on a good strategic path, but that’s a lot of history to look at as it relates to on the field football performance. I hope the AAC media revenue will help push the bar, but there is no guarantee.

I’ve very rarely heard a coach come out and say what Morris did about “buying in”. Very strange…

Very concerning. It tells me that there could be a level of desperation if you’re coming out to the public that your team “isn’t buying in”. That’s eye opening.

I see the coach’s point of don’t turn on your team as fans, but he’s also got to see the fans point of this is embarrassing. There’s a lot of embarrassing history as a NT fan so when we dip this low, it’s a negative trigger that sends many into panic. I think the DC is on thin ice if he doesn’t get this corrected by conference play or if we lose to an FCS team at home because we couldn’t stop ACU from scoring more points than us. Interesting start to a season in which I think most fans had much higher hopes because the staff managed perception well.

New to the GMG forum and happy to be here. New coaching staff, new scheme, new players, new QB, new conference… A lot of change so it’s not surprising that we’re 0-2, but the defensive performance is alarming. Playing Monday Morning QB here, but might have been better to run the previous defensive scheme to reduce the learning curve. I’m curious what other teams in FBS run the 3-3-5 and are they successful.
