Look at that! Coach Mac's at 53% and the number's still going up fast!

What it looks like to me is that they're starting with the same teams at the top 25 or 30, changing them up a tiny bit based on who played for national champion, and then leaving everybody else the same as the year before. It just doesn't work. And I bet there is a lot of P5 conference bias in those rankings too.

It looks like a lot of this is just putting teams at numbers that make no sense. They had rice at #88 or #89 and they had Louisiana-Lafayette at somewhere around #70. I don't see how we're #103 even though we're losing the seniors. And they had Florida and TCU a lot higher than I'd have thought they'd be.

Pretty sure there's tailgating at the hill. I'm going with a friend over there at 11:15. I also heard something about food too.

Nah, I think there should be a little bit greater expectations this year. Mostly because we have no idea what this new team is going to do. And I think we need to prove people wrong. So maybe hit 7, 8, or hell, why not? Hit 10!

Where is the practice field? I know I've passed it before, but that was in August.

I figured they were. Just wasn't sure about it. I remember I passed one last August while I was GPS-marking all the buildings on campus.

Does anybody know if the spring football practices are open to the public?

do we call them T'Sips now? I thought that was an A&M thing... Anyway, the Halloween show was probably one of the best ones I've seen them do. I actually heard it at Sounds of the Stadium the Tuesday before, but it was still awesome hearing it at the game.

So a few of my friends in the Green Brigade told me that they're not doing CD's anymore, but that there are just mp3 files that you can buy/download somewhere. Does anybody know where you can find them? I've looked just about everywhere.

Ok here's what Arkansas does: PA Announcer: "All right all you Razorback fans, let's stand up and call those hogs!" The Crowd: Woooooooooooo pig! Sooie! 3x Razorbacks!" And then the band starts playing the fight song. It's got a beginning, an ending, and everyone does it. That's the kind of thing we need at North Texas. I still can't figure out why that's such a big problem for the band, the cheerleaders, the spirit committee, and everyone else who turned it down.

Ok here's an example of the sort of thing we want. Arkansas. The PA announcer says, "All right all you Razorback fans, let's stand up and call those hogs!" We had a chance at winning most of those except for maybe Georgia, but even then we were tied in the 3rd quarter. Hopefully, we'll be better at road games in the next two weeks.

Does anyone know if there's a website, or a Youtube channel, or something where I can watch entire UNT games that have already happened? Or does that even exist?

Aspacially afser what happened last year. Only 3 wins out of 12 games. Definitely not what you want to see.

I don't think it would be smart of us to move up right after just moving into C-USA. We'd get a lot of losses. But I can see them moving in a while. Maybe even a pretty long while.

And how long do you think North Texas _will stay in CUSA?

So I've been thinking about how things have been going this year since we've started playing in Conference USA. I remember last year, I definitely had doubts about it, but so far, we've been doing pretty well. So my question: Does anybody see North Texp playing in a better conference like the Big Twelve, in say, ten years?

No idea. I tried emailing whoever owns the site to say I had some songs from the GB CD that I could send, but I didn't get a reply.

If this whole short fight song thing keeps up, I'll probably start singing the old North Texas State version. I'm not quitting on UNT, but I'm also not quitting on this either. I graduate from high school in two years, and I'll be studying here at UNT, but I already live on campus. (not TAMS, if anybody was wondering) But I want to enjoy all the time I have here and I want all the other students to enjoy it too. And if it means letting people say whatever they want in a fight song then so be it! I admit, I do say it, only in the students's section, and I try not to be too loud about it too. As I said before, it's school spirit, and it gives tons of people, including me, pride to be part of this awesome school. It's just crazy that there are people who are just so worried about what other people might think of us, that they'll just bann any new things like that that students come up with.

Not sure if anybody knows this or not, but if you're not in the students' section, it's very, and I mean very, hard to hear that part of the fight song. The only thing I heard from that section the one game that I wasn't there, was the occasional shouts of Noooorth! Texaaaas! and the cheer of bullsh*t! every now and then. But regarding the fight song, I didn't even know that there was anything added in the first place, until I sat in the students' section and there were people saying it. So I don't think there's any point in talking about how little kids might hear cusswords, because they're most likely not going to be in the students' section. And just as some extra info, I was talking to one of my friends who's in theGreen Brigade, and she said that Dr. Williams might want to keep the fight song the way it was at the end of last year, until people just kind of "forget the whole thing ever happened". Which of course, will not work at all. People won't just forget all about it, unless you keep it out for many generations.

Correction: I'm thinking if you think that's classless, along with muthaf**kin eagles that's just sad.
