I really don't take issue with what Wren said. I wouldn't have expected him to say something like "We really would have liked more fans to show up today. But, with today's weather, we certainly understand your staying home." He's already delivered in so many ways with our program. I just see it as him challenging the fans to show up much like the coaches challenge the players to execute their game plan. Together, we all contribute to building a winning program which includes atmosphere, expectations, and public perception. The awesome thing is that we share this common passion of supporting Mean Green Athletics. It is an exciting time for our program and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Really hoping Hall is back along with others. We want to be full strength to send a message to CUSA on Saturday! Go Mean Green!

I can tell you that making derogatory remarks about other members of the fan base is not a positive way to attract others or increase interest. Many of our fans can't just change their plans last minute because the weather clears an hour before kickoff. Many have smaller children and it takes planning and organization. I realize that many may not like what I'm saying. But, it's simply true. If it wasn't for today's weather, these same families would have other commitments like youth sports. As many mentioned before the game, selling out a day game will take time. The bottom line is we have to win (and win consistently for several seasons) to change the priorities of many fans (especially with kids and other obligations). I too would LOVE to see us sellout all our games! For what it's worth, I see it happening in the not so distant future.

This is one of the biggest differences between our first 4 games and the last 3. Our defense has become more "bend but don't break." What happened to our aggressive defensive game plan from our first 4 games? During those games, we were consistently putting pressure on the QB while also playing aggressive press coverage right up on opposing receivers. It was working and working well. Why the change in philosophy?
