  1. ULM played a home game in Little Rock against Arkansas.

  3. You mean this guy? http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...p;Q_SEASON=2007
  4. I left with about 3 minutes remaining and made it home to see ULM score their last two touchdowns. I was impressed by how the game appeared on TV. In addition, the announcers appeared to be much better than those calling the ULL game.
  5. Total Receptions http://statistics.ncaafootball.com/default...-receptions.htm
  6. Most recent NCAA stats http://statistics.ncaafootball.com/default...a-rec-yards.htm
  7. What you have described is a much more serious incident than I first thought. Greenminer you get your wish, I don't have 1000 posts and I won't post anymore about this incident. This needs to be addressed at a higher level than a message board.
  8. The coach has the responsibility to be civil and if he has an issue he can take it up privately. According to FFR the coach had no specific complaint about what he had done, only general frustation. What, pray tell, did FFR "say"?
  9. When you take a job that puts your name and face before the public you are going to be the subject of public scrutiny. I understand that sometimes this can bring stress into an individuals life and that of their family. If you can't take it then you have no business taking the position in the first place. A football coach or assistant coach at a FCS University is that type of figure. This person should have had the intelligence to have known that when he took the job. I find that incident exceptionaly offensive. I trust that Todd Dodge will handle this incident appropriately.
  10. They announced at the football game that your game stub from that game will get you admitted to the soccer game tommorrow.
  11. You might have missed this in the paper. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard...uths-gores-film
  12. One more link addressing the issue of political leadership in University Administrations. http://www.uff-fsu.org/art/polpres.pdf

  14. NT hired Lee Jackson, in my opinion, because of the success of John Montford at Tech. Jackson is no Montford. Bataille will prove to be a better hire. We do get political help from Sen. Royce West (a former UTA football player) who supports the law school creation and the formation of UNT Dallas. In addition Sen. Jane Nelson from Denton County is a UNT grad and supports programs. I know that congressman Michael Burgess also has helped with research funding and has two degrees from UNT. We probably have more clout than we have ever had, but we are still behind other schools and battling for limited funds.
  15. AP poll appearances. Highest was 16th. http://www.appollarchive.com/football/ap/a...ll&rows=all
  16. Between 1967 and 1971 North Texas had 20 players drafted including 3 in the first round and one number 2 pick in the 2nd round. We had two quarterbacks selected (Carlin in the 3rd round in 1967 and Ramsey in the 5th round in 1970) Since 1971 we have had only had 15 players drafted.
  17. Agreed, and I think it will continue to improve both on and off the field.
  18. How about a silver grocery bag with the scores engraved after each year?
  19. A Maverick is a stray calf or steer and has recently come to mean someone who is independant or a non-conformist. The Dallas Mavericks abandoned a cowboy hat in their logo and adopted a logo with a horse head. Your committee failed to live up to either definition in following the lead of an NBA team. Is red being abandoned and orange being substituted as a color? Why?
