  1. Apples and oranges my friend. It’s not like they were just acquitted or had their case thrown out on a technicality...they literally found the person who actually did it and his dna matched, along with other evidence. So yea in the OJ case if they subsequently found the person who did it and had irrefutable evidence that they did it and yet you still insisted he was “guilt of something” in relation to the crime, that would be racist.
  2. Also not even getting into the fact that he must have never taken and/or legitimately passed a basic civics class if he believe U.S. representatives have that kind of control over their districts as it relates to directly impacting living conditions. Their job is to represent their district in creating federal laws (with the hope that those laws have a positive benefit for their constituents and represents their wants and needs). It's not like he is out there appropriating money for fixing pot-holes, funding the police force, etc.
  3. What's worse is his insistence after they were exonerated that they were still guilty...he spends his time pointing out the flaws/crimes committed by those in minority communities or non-Christian faiths, but barely a whisper about mass shootings committed by those with white nationalist/supremacist beliefs. Pointing out flaws in various cities/parts of America is not inherently racist. It's the way Trump does it, only in reference to minority areas and using dehumanizing language like infested and saying no human would want to live there (the people that do aren't human?). It's not like he spends his time pointing out how bad things are re: poverty and drug epidemic in say a more white area, like Kentucky. Let's not even get into the fact that Trump's own son in law is a landlord in Baltimore with numerous violations for substandard living conditions.
  4. Yea - the later point people clearly don't get. Just as criticism of America isn't inherently un-American, but when someone has a D next to their name and does it, stop the presses and listen for our founding fathers rolling over in their grave. On your point number 3 in the reply above...blatant racism can't be the line for people who will never recognize blatant racism (except for say the rare circumstance where some average white kid doesn't get into their preferred college and the cries of affirmative action and reverse racism are deafening).
  5. I feel like so much of the point is being missed here. To me, it was clear based on the words he used in that tweet that he was referring to more than just Rep Omar. Telling people who were born here to go back to where they came from, in my opinion (which isn't worth anything to anyone) is racist. He is implying that non-white people are "other" or "foreign" and that to me is unacceptable. Chuck Schumer says things need to change, Nancy Pelosi complains about the state of things, no one tells them to go back to where they came from. The entire Replublican party had a pity party and B*tch fest when Obama was President, they weren't told to go back where they are from. That's the difference. Frankly Trump has spent the last 4-6 years before he was President constantly criticizing America - so who is he to tell people if they don't like it leave. There is nothing more American than using your freedom of speech to say "XYZ sucks, we need to change that". Funny to see people who wrap themselves in the flag and act like they sleep with a constitution under their pillow engaging in this kind of talk.
  6. Freshman - 1st semester Kerr Hall, 2nd Semester Clark Hall Sophomore - Clark Hall Junior - Sante Fe (less than five years old at the time, clearly not built to stand the test of time) Senior - University Uptown Apartments (literally moved into them brand new, they were falling apart within a year) Grad school - The Oaks - great proximity to campus (could walk to my classes in business building and also walk to Fry to get a beer) Definitely some good memories throughout those places. Probably most fond memories in Clark Hall. Had great roomate who became my best man and still great friend to this day. Met other characters who are still apart of my life in some way or another 15+ years later.
  7. You realize that’s not the complete list of speakers and was just the ones the poster picked to show it was more evenly spread amongst political philosophies, right? There were many others then were clearly Republican or Conservative.
  8. FYI, Mel Kiper has Ejiya at #9 on his list of inside linebackers.
  9. we are just jacking up bad 3's at this point...
  10. The way we are playing, doesn't feel like that will happen.
  11. No way that was a block. He was set and outside the circle...come on!
  12. well, finally getting our first free throws...
  13. can't believe no fouls all those times Woolridge has taken it to the rim.
  14. I also don't understand how a dead ball foul call changed possession too. If that's the way that is written, that is really dumb. It was clearly just a continuation of the previous play.
  15. These refs have no business in D1 basketball...
  16. I think it's been really bad, but both ways. I think there has been several missed fouls and not sure they have gotten all of the possessions right on out of bounds situations. It would be hard as a player to adjust to this, hopefully our guys can.
  17. Good assessment, don't understand the hate for this post...unless it's by people who think we should only play the tallest players on our team because that's "how you basketball".
  18. Free throws are going to be our undoing
  19. What is going on with Woolridge? He basically handed the ball right to them.
  20. First half was OK, not feeling same about the second. Think they missed an obvious travel which led to Simmons picking up a foul.
