They ended up having to pass more (and thus be ok and still score 28 points) because they didn't run the ball on first downs. They kept trying to get cute because they thought they had a gunslinger on their hands who was ready to make a statement. 

I’m so glad you brought this up, especially considering that we had TWO backs who went for over 100 yards and averaged 7+ yards a carry.  
 

But sure, let’s discount the play of our team by pretending it was the refusal to keep leaning on a lesser running attack.

What is all the Christian Moore love based on?   I’m asking, because I honestly don’t know…I’ve attended more than my fair share of North Texas basketball games the past several seasons and have honestly yet to see enough of him to make me say “yeah, that guy should be on the court more.” 
 

Is he doing something in practice I’m not privy to, or is this just a case of “potential” that people are banking on?  I ask because his playing time is consistently brought up as an issue.

1) Seth Littrell had plateaued and was taking us no further

AND

2) Eric Morris has underperformed and has us nowhere close to where we should be defensively
