I can understand why losing by 7 feels better than losing by 21 but for me, saying we'd have won the games we were supposed to win just feels like more of the same .500 football we had with SL.

The difference is that it is in year 1 of Morris as opposed to year 7 of Littrell.

And, while I recognize that a loss is a loss regardless of point spread, I also recognize that there is more fight in this year’s team than I saw for the last 3 under Littrell.

I know when this movie came out it was all about comedy, but is it me or does it seem like more and more UNT students are starting to look like this group? I see a lot of weird looking students around Denton more so than in the past.

You are not wron. Just yesterday I was having this conversation with some friends.  I went up to the square to grab lunch and a beer before the game and saw that there was some kind of a 5K being run.  Bear in mind it was raining and these people would be running in the rain, but it was jam packed.  So rain is obviously not a reason for Denton people to stay inside.

Denton people will show up for things that are actually a priority to them, and I’m starting to believe that UNT’s location is it’s number one Achilles’ heel when it comes to sports attendance.  The same kind of people that got a damn white squirrel as a “secondary mascot” for our university, and run that thing out on the field during our homecoming game, are the kind of people that will never show up in droves for football.

    A few quick thoughts:

    • Competition: Playing Army provides a challenge and an opportunity to test our skills. It also helps us to improve our game, as we learn from our mistakes and from the strategies of our opponents.
    • Fun: Playing against another Army adds to the fun and excitement, as we all work together to achieve a common goal.
    • Community: These games can bring people together from all walks of life. Playing against Army can foster a sense of community and rivalry, which can be a positive force in people's lives.
    • Tradition: Playing against Army is a way to carry on this tradition and to share our love of the game with others.

  4. I am in possession of six tickets to the exhibition games on October 29th that I don't need (it's a long story).   The seats are in Section 122 and if anyone was looking at going and wants to pick up a few tickets at $25 (less than what you would pay at the gate or on meangreensports and there is NO availability there) PM me.
