Coached 15 years in North Texas area and 5 years in Houston area. Years were split as both and assistant coach and head coach, levels 2A-5A. Can' t tell you were I coach "at". Sorry, I graduated from NTSU. We were taught not to end sentences with a preposition.

Agreed. But, these same players did not play this poorly until this one man arrived. As in the NBA it is easier to replace the coach than the team. Speaking of team, what good high school recruit would want to join this team. I am really affraid we are going to lose our commits because of our under achieving this season.

I know for a fact he didn't. Greg Popovich, Rick Barnes and many others called to recommend him for the job. Danny never even received a call from UNT to acknowledge his interest in the job.

What would cause a team that made it to the conference tournament finals last year, without two of its best player to lose confidence? A good system? Good coaching?

Second time a Kaspar coached SFA has beaten OU. He also has a better record against Sunbelt schools this year than we do.

I don't think any one is accusing him of not knowing basketball, but rather not being able to teach/coach basketball.

I have always bought UNT basketball tickets because I enjoyed going to the games. It was worth the crappy traffic from Dallas to Denton on a Thursday night. Win or lose, I left with the feeling that I received a good return for my money. It was the rule and not the exception that the team was well prepared and played hard. Based on what I have seen this year, this week will probably be the last Thursday I make that drive. I truly hope that Benford and our guys turn it around this year. If not, there will be at least two less season tickets sold next year.

1. Roger does not have the others team best defender assigned to him, nor is he double or triple team. 2. Roger does a very good of working to get into position and then knows how to use his body to pin and shield the defender from the ball.

Ask, if he is worried that our slow start might cause our commits for next year to question his ability as coach.

FYI, as of 12-3-12, SFA coached by NTSU grad Danny Kaspar is undefeated and has a better record against Sunbelt teams than we do.
