I noticed a strobe light high up in the rafters going off every 30 seconds or so... I can only assume it is to keep the bats out.

Better not to have one, school officials say, than to cave in completely to an NCAA edict that the Division III institution change its 83-year tradition of calling its athletic teams the "Indians." The NCAA placed McMurry on a list of schools with Native American nicknames. The use of the Indian mascot, the association says, can create a "hostile and abusive" environment.

It would be a gamble, but it could have a huge payoff. Can you imagine Dodge's system being run at UNT? Chase Daniel went to Missouri and the coach implemented aspects of the SLC system... look where they are now. I know Riley will probably go to a big school (I think he wants to commit to A&M), but what if he had a chance to be a starter for his Dad in a familiar system?

How did I get to UNT... Well, let's see. I joined the Navy for 6 years after high school, then got into first level tech support in Wisconsin. After two years there I was recruited by Microsoft and moved to Irving, TX. After getting my MCSE there, and a few more Help Desk jobs, I got my first LAN Admin job for a travel survey company. 9/11 happened and I was laid off two days later. Four months of unemployment and interviewers asking "Do you have a degree???" I then decided to finally get my degree. Dallas County Community for 2 years and then I applied and was accepted to UTA, UT-Austin, UT-Dallas, UNT, and SMU. And here I am, three semesters to graduation!

It would be one thing to say Dr. Bataille places an emphasis on academics or music... but to say she doesn't know football just because she is a woman?

Florida's only loss was to #11 Auburn. They should be the #3 team. I looked up the Harris Poll (the only poll that put USC at #3) and found there sure are a disproportionate number of former PAC-10 players/coaches who have votes.

Leadership? Pulling the team together? Unparalleled success?? Sorry, Mattress Mac... I just don't see it.
