New waterboys?

With losses at home to UL-La, UL-M, and embarrassing losses at UL-La,FIU, and a D-2 school. I think I went to every home game the last 2 years that Trilli was here but is anybody else like me and has lost all desire to go to the Pit to watch us play? Alzee, Tony, Roger, and Holman all started that conference title game but the same crew is all of the sudden the bottom of the Belt? I wish there was somebody that was close to the program that could give some good insight on why this has been such a failure.

I was talking to my wife in the bathroom and she told me that we should be good by Hot Springs. We will have guys back from injuries and Chris Jones has been sitting behind Coach Benford and learning all the tricks of the trade. Plus I played with some ex boys club basketball players at the Rec and they said the Benford offense is working and I believe those guys over CMJ and Tasty and etc.....

It's called keeping it real. We are 8-14. Does anybody know where Chris Jones has been? Why isn't he on the bench?

Skiver I need some of that stuff that you are drinking. We are bad. We don't hedge on ball screens, we give up layups and wide open 3's, we don't get anything going on offense, we have a point guard that won't shoot. No way we make noise in Hot Springs. What an awful season. We finally got to where the students were coming the last few years especially last year and there were no students tonight.

I think the verdict is still out and I hope he does turn out to be good. But what have you seen right now that would lead any of us to believe that there is a bright future ? It was a great win the other night and I appreciate the fight the guys showed but just 2 nights before that it was an awful game. To me there hasnt been a consistent run of good play that would lead us to believe things have improved and I dont know if we will be able to see if we have improved b/c of the injury situation. I hope last Saturday was a sign that this thing is headed in the right direction but it seems like we have said that before and have been let down. So we will see.

You didn't mention those things but you did throw in a jab there to protect your boy Benford.

What would you attribute to giving up 81 points to ULM and losing to them at home? ULM scored 39 points the other night and havent scored more than 57 in a game since leaving the pit? Or what would you attribute to losing to a D-2 school and giving up 77 points to them, is it b/c Benford can't get out there and guard them all or what?

This will be the last I say on this b/c we have pretty much beat this dead horse but you do realize you can go back and look at old posts, right? Well there are posts from last January that have the name Andrew on them but when people replied to your quote it said quoted by Skiver. You can go back and look at when Jrodan and Chris became ineligible last year and there are a bunch of quotes by you and it says Andrew was created in Feb. 2012 but these were quotes by you in January of 2012. But anyhow carry on and let's hope Benford and the boys can turn it around.

You have brought it on yourself with your comments and posts the last couple of years. I am happy to talk basketball but I could care less that you played at the rec. and I don't know anybody on this board and I have been on here since 01 or 02 but it is hard to take you seriously sometimes when you have changed your name and you act like you aren't Skiver. At least admit you changed your name. It seems odd that Skiver who was a regular poster on here suddenly disappears and Andrew all the sudden appears.

Skiver are you 14 years old? The only thing you ever say is you have friends that coach or played against UNT players at the Rec.

Like using a 2-3 zone to defend the 3 ?

So who is it that has been in the trenches that you are trusting?

Playing hard on D and rebounding weren't part of the gameplan?

You may not be Green Dude but there is no doubt that Andrew and Skiver are the same person. No doubt.

Emmitt when you were standing at the urinal were you going #1 or #2?

ULM scored 39 against Southern University and they only scored 81 on us.

Also in Bob Marlin's first year at UL-LA with a team that wasn't expected to do much they started 3-11 and then finished the season 14-14. Obviously they improved as the season went on, at this point that's all I want to get out of this season.

I really don't think we have. I don't see any area where we are improving. I keep thinking we are going to find it and figure it out and put something together but at this point it looks hopeless. Still giving up layups, we play no help side defense, we don't get open looks, take bad shots.etc,etc,etc......... So disappointing. Give me some hope Andrew/Skiver.

Why would they play zone, we all know that the zone is used to stop the 3 point shot and we cant shoot 3's. Hopefully y'all can sense the sarcasm there.

And what do you think his system is ? "Looking clueless." I have been blown away at how poorly coached we have looked and definitely couldnt tell you what kind of system this is. I hope we all end up saying you were right and we were wrong but the evidence so far doesnt look too good in your favor.

Maybe b/c you had hailed him the greatest coach since John Wooden is the reason you wont put any blame on him and realize that he sucks and really gives the impression that he has no clue.
