What I love about the article is that it reminds us that NT has a proud football history. There's a lot of schools that would like to have our conference championships and acclaimed players.

I'm really glad to see our administration step up. I'd love for Vitto to do an article about Nick Quartaro. What responsibilites does he have other than WR coach? What responsibilities does he have that requires him to have a near coordinator salary?

One glaring mistake about Mean Green ... and one can argue the rankings ... but still great to see.

Pitt: We hear Todd Graham has hired former North Texas head coach Todd Dodge as his quarterbacks coach.

If true then congrats to Dodge.

Wow! The stadium looks better than I imagined.

Looks like that tower went up between 9:30 AM and 9:53 AM pictures this morning.

I was wondering what that black coating was for. Brick on the inside will look much better than the grey concrete.
-
To clarify: We're not assuming Hurricanes, but he has an offer from the RedHawks right?
I thought we were talking about Oklahoma City!

Since our last stadium was named for an Athletic Director, I think the new stadium should be named for the Athletic Director that got the job done. I've been hearing about a new stadium since the days of Hayden Fry. Rick Villareal is the AD that has delivered.
Rick Villareal Park or RV Park
That can be the name for the tailgating area.

I think it's a shame that the AC will be blocked from viewing the stadium but I understand. Overall the placement of the scoreboard and advertise is probably a better use of that end of the stadium.

I want to extend our apologies to all the Mean Green Club Members for the recent error in the mailing of our Holiday Greeting Cards. The mailing list was sent to the center on campus to be printed and mailed. When I learned of the mixup today, we called the center and they acknowledged that in their address sorting process they inadvertently changed the name fields and the result was the names being placed with other MGC members' addresses. Therefore everyone got a card but with the wrong name. The center will send out an apology after the holidays.
That being said I want to tell everyone that we have a lot to be thankful for and that includes each of you. I wish everyone a blessed holiday season GO MEAN GREEN!

Merry Christmas, Rick. I'm very glad to have you as our AD.

Go to this link Flyer found, page 2, zoom to 100% and look at those spots on the blueprint. They look to me like a door icon, as in access to field level only at certain aisles. Now, there may not be steps down to the field at each access point, probably a barred gate, and to be used for drainage too as you mentioned...

Very cool document. I had not seen that before.

They can be sealed, allowing the AD to floods the lower bowl...for naval combatants to square off.
Or we can have one really big swim party!

Osborn's stats claim he runs a 4.7 40 yard dash. Not earth shattering or Rileyesque, but good enough to keep a defense honest. I'm pleased with this signing and look for good things from Riley, Derek and now Brent.
His straight speed is probably that. He doesn't seem "quick", though -- it takes him a few steps to get up to that speed. Riley is probably quicker than he is. You're right ... it should be enough to keep a defense honest.

Secret to my parents' marriage.
That made me laugh out loud.

What's with the orange Port-O-Potty? Could we not get a green one?

How about natural grass?
Old school.

Forgive me for being new to the NTU family. I have never gotten a chance to see Riley play. He appears to have put up good numbers in a tough situation. Seems like it is going to be interesting for sure. It may come down to how good he is at WR. Would seem that if Dodge is one of the 3 best WRs...and if he and the other 2 QBs have a close race...I would think WR would be the move (to increase overall field talent). But if Dodge is far and away the better QB, he stays at QB.
Dodge is a fierce competitor and is mobile. I think he got better and better as the season went a long. The big negatives I see is he gets banged up a lot and he doesn't have the greatest arm strength. I think Osborn definately has a chance to earn the starting spot but Dodge won't back down.

He's not a big running threat but he seems to have a very quick release. Welcome aboard!
