  1. Just make sure that letter has a large check attached to it.
  2. DD already took us to the next level. Before Dickey we were a do nothing directional school floundering in our return to D1. DD took a rag-tag bunch of kids that other schools weren't interested in a put together a program that could consistently beat programs in the same situation. That consistency lead to 4 conference championships, a bowl win, and a Baylor beat down. DD's consistency is the incremnetal step that leads to bigger things.
  3. What transfer rules are you talking about? The NCAA hasn't made any major revisions to its transfer policy. D1 to D1, and your sitting out 1 year minimum.
  4. This has become a circular conversation. We can't get anywhere without a vision. We can't get to a vision without incremental change. I will contend that the University does have a big picture vision for the program, and that it’s the duty of the AD to craft that vision and hire the staff to make it happen. I will also contend that it is not always best of go around touting the big picture goal because we are so far removed. That's why I say we need to focus on incremental progress. We definitely saw incremental progress our first three years in the Belt. Last year was a bit stagnant, but we still meet our objectives for the year. And I will contend that meeting our objective 4 straight years is still progress over where the program had been. Obviously we did not meet our goals this year, that doesn't mean its time to jump ship or change our vision statement. It does mean we need corrective action, but my guess is that's what RV and DD are talking about this week.
  5. I think I can, I think I can. This isn't about attitude, or preception its about incremental change. Everyone is for progress, but why derail things with impossible expectations.
  6. Playing time is obviously something the school does use a recruiting tool. And for your second quesiton. YES.
  7. This just brings us back to thread about unrealistic expectations. No one expects us to go toe-to-toe with UT & OU. This institution lacks the overall resources and drive to do so. No single individual or group on individuals is responsible for that "dirve." The university is striving to have a "first class" atheletic program not the gold standard.
  8. That's because Price is just trying to pick up coeds.
  9. A hug after every game. And a nice hand written thank you note for everyone in attendence.
  10. I'm sure the program will survive, I'm not sure the coaching staff would.
  11. Bottom Line: 2-9 is not acceptable and something needs to change. No one on this board is qualified to say what that change should be.
  12. No, I'm sure there canceling football.
  13. It would be a smart move for DD to try to pick him up to fill some of the gaps in our coaching staff. Adding old head coaches seems to work for UL-M.
  14. The remark about Weatherbie's contract is wrong. It gets paide the difference between what UL-M pays him and what he got at Navy as part of his buy out with Navy. UL-M also has 2 head coaches, with a certain ex-army coach on staff, with a simular pay out option.
  15. Didn't Deion Sanders say he wanted to coach a team?
  16. Something tells be that when an SMU coach gets a win over TCU they get to keep their job for one more season.
  17. Is that a full size Ditka, or a bunch of little mini Ditkas?
  18. I bet we'll all drive flying cars and have practice on the moon.
  19. Way to go with last week's list. Nothing gets by you.
  20. Maybe some of our history buffs or just really old fans can help me with this one. Is the Sun Belt a better conference than the Big West was? Lets just talk about the strength of the conference then compared to what those programs are up to know and how the Belt measures up.
  21. How dare you accuse me of rable-rousing on the internet! I say good day sir.
  22. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2005/nov/15/r...e_today/?sports
  23. How is it that much different than a win over FIU and MTSU this year? Also given the drop off from where UNT was at the last 4 seasons, things look pretty bleak. And since no one can articulate a reseason why its not the worst season, I continue to say that it is.
  24. So history buffs is this UNT's worst season? Is it even the worst season under DD?
