I'll have to look it up. But I think we are both half right. The $4 fee is the title IX fee. I think a percentage of the AC was able to be funded by that fee, but not the entire thing. The BOR had to spit up the majority of the money. The BOR would not have done it w/o the FB success.

I hate to rain on the pity party, but the AC and Eagle Point are only there because of what that success did to our fan base and leadership. Before those wins, no one cared enough to get on a message board and cry when we lost.

We're also a play away from being 3-2. You can't play the "if this one play" game. It didn't happen.

I was just trying to bring some levity to the situation. The real point of the message was:

I guess I just want an informed and loyal fan base, some schools have it, I guess its not too much to hope for at North Texas. Also, some people define "fan" as the behavior we're going to see in Baton Rouge this week. Throwing shoes, bottles, batteries, rocking buses, cussing out grandparents is something I never want to be part of North Texas. Also, I meant "our of thier mind with anger", I was not calling people who expected us to win that many games crazy

Acceptable: I thought Silver Eagle running naked onto the field in the third quarter, not only costing us that 15 yard unsportmanlike conduct but also losing us Patrick Cobbs for the rest of the game due to temporary blindness was unacceptable. I hope his coaching staff makes him run bleachers until he gets all the moonshine out of his system. Unaccaptable: Silver Eagle is an idiot! He doesn't deserve to have season tickets! Get the worthless moron off the team!!! lkjdslkndslkm! I don't have a problem with someone calling someone out for making a mistake, but I want to see a marked lack of invective. In other words, if you wouldn't say it to thier face, don't post it here.

Our AC holds our meeting rooms, film rooms, sport medicine rooms, etc all of which are nicer. Our baseball stadium looks to be done by next year (keep your fingers crossed) and should be better than what latech has. Our FB stadium isn't much worse than latechs. The SBC is a much better option for a team in our geographic location. It is also a much better option for latech, even some of the higher ups in thier own AD saw that. Thier budget is so bare they can't take the hit a move would cost them in revenue sharing for a year.

No matter what happens on the field, it's not a down year in tailgating. At the Troy game I saw JohnDenver one man a keg and eat a whole live chicken... worth the price of admission alone. I do agree that Coach Dickey has built up goodwill with his superiors, and there is going to be little to no pressure applied for having one down year. If that continues to next year, and especially if we don't win the SMU game, that could all change very quickly. But that is just how things work in the coaching world. Go out to the game, support the coach if you think he can turn it around, and if you don't think he can then at least support the players. This is Patrick Cobbs last year, he deserves to play in front of a crowd.

I think a few too many people had thier green glasses on and did not see this coming. While someone who expected to see this team struggle this year, is probably just upset about how the team has played so far, someone who was expecting us to have 9-10 wins is probably out of thier mind.
