Whether or not we execute is one thing?!?! It's *THE* thing. We didn't run alot of playaction. I have never seen so much non play action from a team since Simon was here.

What, exactly, makes you think we can execute the short routes? If you would bother to glance at the box scores you would see over the last two games we have ran 57 times and passed 48. Not exactly dickeyball. At the end of the game, Troy was in it's prevent mode, don't get fooled by ball movement there.

Could it be because Troy was in ther "pevent defense" and was giving us soft coverage unlike the ret of the game?

I have spoken to Coach Dickey, and I am now acting as his agent*, if we change his contract to include this incentive, he will agree to: 1) Change the offense to the Fun-N-Gun 2) Juggle during all Radio Timeouts 3) Shoot one of the positional coaches out of a giant cannon into a net strung across the SuperPit at halftime. It's easy to complain. It's a little harder to actually get anything done. But have fun complaining, you really seem to be enjoying it.

Yes we do, and we are usually no where near this bad on offense every year. So what changed? DC's have figured out how to overload our zone run game. The gameplan needs to be adjusted. Effective against everyone and easy to learn, is that all your asking for? Rick, if you figure that offense out, you are going to make alot of money.

Our season ticket base and MGC base is just not sufficent right now to cut those games. You have to remember that the football team not only pays all the bills for itself, but pretty much every scholarship sport on campus.

Chomp, thank you for arguing my point better than I did I like DD (I am not pleased with the OOC results), I have seen real improvement since he was hired. However, is a coach that was nearly guaranteed to have even more success showed intrest in North Texas.... However, lets look at the past UNT coaches: *Matt Simon? Never won more than 3 1a games in a year. *Dennis Parker? Never had a winning season in 1aa. *Corky Nelson? Won 2, 8, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 5, and 6 games. Never won a post season game. *Bob Tyler? Ouch. *Jerry Moore? No. *Hayden Frye: YES! But lets face the facts here, Frye last coached here ***27*** years ago. If we get rid of DD, how long till we can find a coach that can be as successful? 27 Years? 13? 8? Any of those and the program will be in real trouble.

We didn't beat UT. I know, I've heard all the stories, as far as history is concerned we didn't beat ut. We didnt beat OSU until 95, and we only won one other game. I sure wouldn't trade that year for one of the last 4. Between 88-94 we only had 4 winning season, in 1AA. Sure we beat some TT's, but we lost to alot of SFA's. Getting to the 1aa playoffs and being usherd out in the first round is not the achievment you make it out to be. Beating OSU and going 1-9 the rest of the way is not the achievement you make it out to be. I'm sorry you missed my sarcasm. I am not happy with losing OOC games, I just haven't seen a better plan from anyone else. DD is improving this program, maybe to slow for you, but I don't see a better alternative. Maybe if you'll compare season ticket sales and MGC donations between this year and any of the 88-94 years you'll get it.

I don't think you can blame the talent. The talent is there. If you are running an offensive scheme that everyone has figured out how to overload, it really doesn't matter what kind of talent you have running it.

That buy out is the amount another school would have to pay off to North Texas if they wanted to hire DD. It is not the amount North Texas would have to pay if they wanted to buy out DD's contract and go another direction.

People, please explain to me when NORTH TEXAS has had a better run than that.
