Crowd projected at 1500. It’s too early. Win and crowds will show up. Remember this is Dallas must play meaningful games at the right time. Win anyway Mean Green!!!!!

We need about 3% of our alumni and students within an hour to sell out the super pit. Once you let that fact sink in there aren’t enough excuses in the world.

  2. We seem to be getting some love from the under the radar bracket guys with good track records. Another one of those guys has us in 1st four out which would be an NIT 1 seed. I’m absolutely NOT getting my hopes up. I have to think even with our good metrics the committee looks at the last week and says no thanks.

Would a La Tech win tonight over UAB help our case at all for NCAA Tourney?

Or are we probably out regardless of score tonight?

I think we are probably out when all is said and done. But agonizingly, I think it’s a situation where if any single one of our losses was a win we would be in.

The champions list from the NIT is not even remotely on the same level as the CBI and CIT. For all we know we’d have made the sweet 16 in the NCAA, but we are where we are. If we could somehow make it to MSG or win the thing it would be probably be the biggest accomplishment in program history.

One more thought. The vast majority of champions are from the traditional power conferences. As far as current conference affiliation the last time a champion was not from the power conferences plus the American and A-10 was 1987.
