  1. HOLD…HOLD…HOOOOOOLD! A lot of time left. Have faith Mean Green Nation!
  2. How many UTEP shots would have “really gotten the crowd on their feet?”
  3. Need to put this one away. Come on Mean Green. LFG!
  4. You’re going to get homer announcers on the +. Some less than others, but it’s always a home announcing crew.
  5. Just looked at the score sheet. Their pitcher has a no-hitter going. Let’s hope I just jinxed her. Hahaha.
  6. Softball down 4-0 in the 6th. WBB won 67-65.
  7. Watching this game, switching to updates on ESPN for the ladies and getting game updates for softball. My phone is smoking’.
  8. Sissoko plays a lot bigger than his 6’9” frame. Like the way he’s developed this season.
  9. Shaky start. Eliminate the turnovers.
  10. He’s already that, I think. He has the potential of being in the upper echelons. Free throws have improved (+++). Haven’t checked the numbers, but they seem better. He makes a great move to get an open shot and it bangs hard off the backboard. Fix that and he’ll be unstoppable.
  11. Quiet here tonight. Just doing the needful.
  12. Better Bill and he’s had a really good game tonight, but still too many misses from 2 feet to be counted among the elite bigs IMHO.
  13. One too many Crawfords. If Ousmane could improve his touch around the basket, he’d be front and center in the discussion about the elite college bigs in the nation.
  14. All the arguments why SMU should not join the Pac12 (if they get the invite) could have applied to our decision to join the AAC. Why should we join if SMU and Memphis (rumored at the time) have one foot out the door. Why do we think we can win the AAC if we can't win in C-USA. With the expanded CFP, we'd be better off staying and winning in C-USA, blah, blah, blah. The P5 will continue to be the P5 even if it's only in name, exposure, media rights or whatever. The divide is likely to get bigger between the have and have-nots, not smaller. The P5 cabal will do what they can to lock in their position in the hierarchy and only admit those they deem worthy. Unless they all go to 20, there are only a few seats left at the table. SMU would be the biggest fool on the planet if they didn't grab a seat before the music stopped.
  15. Second highest attendance at 4,123 so far this year. Interesting (or maybe not) that the two highest attended games were on a Saturday night - last night and the 1/28 game against UTEP (4,301). I didn't think the student turnout last night was as strong as it was Thursday (3,873 for UAB). Does that mean the local community is making up a larger percentage of the crowd on weekend game nights? Still running around a 10% increase (+325) so far for the season with two home games remaining. Last year's season finale against LaTech will wipe out our average increase unless we somehow bring in 6K+ for both MTSU and WKU.
  16. I've found the the replay shows up eventually AND you have to search for it under the sport or team. It's available now.
  17. The atmosphere was top notch last night as the place was rocking during the OTs, but a little disappointed in the numbers. We were over 4K two of the previous three home games and sniffed 4K on the third. Not sure why there was a drop off on a Thursday night with a quality opponent. They missed a great game.
  18. The difference is TP shots are with 1-2 seconds on the shot clock and Walker’s are with 10-12.
  19. I think Jelly would be a frustrating team mate. Hell of a talent, but takes so many stupid shots.
  20. The Big East was never a P5 football conference. I think once you're admitted to the "club" you are in for good. Also, at some point it's not just about making the playoffs. It's about winning it all. There is a hierarchy and better conferences are, in general, going to get better recruits or attract the best transfers. SEC gets better than B12 (see Texas and OU to the SEC), the BiG gets better than the PAC12 (see USC and UCLA to the BiG), the PAC12 will get better than AAC (SMU to the PAC12), so it's all about positioning yourself to get better/more competitive in the long run. The idea that SMU has a better chance of winning the AAC than the PAC12 in order to make the playoffs just to get clobber stomped by Georgia or any other SEC Team is better than moving to the PAC12 where they can gradually improve is flawed. Texas, OU, USC, UCLA are moving because they want a shot at the better athletes that those two conferences have demonstrated they are able to attract. They don't just want to make the playoffs, they want teams that can win it all.
  21. I don't think an alliance is necessary or the right move for the AAC. If/When SMU leaves, the AAC should go hard after Colorado State and Air Force. That gets football to 15 members. Leave a seat open to see if the conference can convince Army to leave independent status and join with the other two service academies. All three service academies provides national exposure/interest and the conference covers three time zones. Winner!
