Wheeler, Hoston, Derricott, Johson, Eija... Pretty nice LB/Rover additions this year... Image if these put up solid #'s.. Also, not sure how many follow Dvonta Derricott, but he is followed by multiple NFL Draft sites, and is ranked in the top 50 of LBs.. Would be great if he brought in a few scouts and got a few other guys noticed as well

as a grad transfer.. I'm assuming that he and Morris will count again the 85, but do they count towards 2016 or 2017? or would they just fall into their own class since they will be off the books in a year?

I'm just starting to wonder about William Johnson... With the # of LB's we have signed im just wondering, because I thought we had okay depth at LB from last year plus this years additions, but I could be mistaken

Thanks for confirming JD. So next question is... If this is true and im assuming we don't know, is how many years he has left? and If he is coming here should we worry about William Johnson, since we have picked up so many other LB's since NSD?

Derricott, just accepted Coach Ekler as a follower, and is following a bunch of UNT students/ along with SL

looking at Derricott offer list, if we landed him.. alot of people would be happy with all those Big 12, Big 10, SEC, and Pac 12 schools.. But i was looking at his timeline, after he added me on twitter... he has some Eastern Kentucky stuff up... Is it allowed to ask him about UNT? lol

I was just flipping through and came across 2 guys that English is following and they have in their twitter bios that they are UNT... Once everything is completed, the location, the funding, etc.. and we have ordered it.. Is this something that will take a year to build? or something less.. Wasn't sure if this something that could completed during SL's first year? But I'm figuring with the entire process this is something that will be most likely completed and dedicated during the 2017 season, if everything goes as planned? But another side note, If we could deciate it during the Spring Game next year, and we had a bunch of possible recruits.. this maybe a nice little attention grabber for them as well..

I'm assuming that your already taken into account that someone like Sir Wallace already left? and possibly Ivery as well? Also, Has anyone heard about William Johnson or Cody Hayes, and if they will be here in the fall?(I haven't heard or seen anything, nor could I find them on social media.)

reading Vitos post today, we have 68 players plus this class... which is alot better then I had thought of 68 including this class

Walk-on, when they get a scholarship in their first 2 years, doesn't that scholarship Count against the class/year they walked on such as Mann the LB from temple.. Since he is a walk on, couldn't we offer/put him on scholarship once some of these JUCOs leave possibly? Which then back fills the class?? Hopefully this makes sense Also, with us having depth issues, does anyone think we could go out and offer some more walk on spots to kids as a possibility for just a hail-Mary try out chance?

I think SL is very happy here at UNT.. And I would think we have a larger amount then 500K as a buyout. But I do agree, if the defense does well, and the offense as well. I beat we could see Harrell and Ekler leave possibly.. :/

I was going to say, I saw somewhere that UNT was in the top 25 in the country in terms of total student enrollment in the entire US... I would think with this kind of enrollment, alumi base they shouldn't have to basically be living paycheck to paycheck playing these body-bag games.. If the college is turning that much of a profile, image if they just dumped in say 20-30, crap even a 1 time 50M bonus to the athletic department.. with us being in the 60's in terms of scholarship players.. what classes are coming up that didn't meet the 25? I'm assuming that we can get used to seeing alot of blue shirts the next few years as we try and get more talent in ASAP... Did SL say how many are in the 2016 class as of now? Pres Smatesk I believe talked and discussed how he know and wants UNT Football to be a success. He said this during SL intro I believe because it will lead to UNT becoming a bigger knows school... So he def. wants to see success so hopefully he will hear this tuff

Really like this idea. Would be great if they did something cheaper with like a silent auction, like they fill up the whole conference area, and just have a big QA and go over different things like how recruiting is going or scheme, etc?? All the proceeds to UNT sports... like an Orr Baltimore Jersey or Robertson etc? something with the Cowboys possibly? now, im not sure if this allowed, but could we even sponsor like a section or something for area high school players,come for free? like any area high school freshman/sophomore could just walk up and its our way of getting them interested in the program? Try and introduce them into the UNT and that could help us start locking down some kids possibly?

Honestly 90th isn't great... But HUGE improvement I would think just being 3rd in C-USA with us going 1-11... Pretty impressive for them, since they had to recuit an entire class in just a few months.. and they are still adding to it now

doubt Littrell gets bigger offers then UNT after 1 year, even if we only win 6 games and bowl.. bc of the buyout that the other school would have to pay would be sizable, and if that happened i could possibly see SL getting a slight rise or maybe he has stuff that will kick in as a bonus already in his contract.
