7,239 for the Ponies is the largest since the 8,522 for the LaTech game in 2022.  It's a great atmosphere for college basketball when we get a good crowd in the Pit.

Think it was the highest attended mid week game since OU in 2019, no?

Everyone, please go to church and get right with the big man upstairs.

Game on the TV, church stream on the laptop. Just like the good lord would want.

exactly. he averaged 15-10-3blocks with good coaching...13-8.5-2.7 with awful coaching. as a freshman and sophomore.

everyone set the expectation that he'd give 25-15 a night and that every shot from the paint would end up three rows deep...so now because TM didn't live up to their unrealistic expectations they've allowed their memory of him to be a disappointment. it's really sad. dude was a treat.

Our only drafted player in the last 40 years btw. Dude was so incredible and naturally gifted.

I'm still not holding my breath on over 5K (actual butts). The students hopefully show with it being a weeknight but a 6pm start will hurt the alumni turnout I fear.

Unless season ticket holder attendance is abysmal, 5k should be an easy hit from what I’ve been told.

Sounds like we will have between 7-8 thousand at the game. A lot of the total will depend on how many students actually show up. Should be a great environment. GMG

Gonna be a hefty crowd. I’d encourage everyone to get there early, grab a beer, and get rowdy.

We couldn’t score 103 points if we wanted to….

While I agree we probably don’t have the offense to ever score 100, I think we have the players to get out and run on defensive stops. No reason a lineup of Edwards, CJ, Dello, Scott, Allen shouldn’t be pushing more for easy buckets in transition. That’s the biggest rub for us on offense. Everything is a GRIND and sometimes it’s just not necessary.

Preaching to the choir. I’m at every game unless I’m out of town traveling for work. I just understand the reality of North Texas athletics in general. We can not like it (I don’t) but it doesn’t change the fact that our bandwagonners are fickle.

Fair enough.. I respect the stance.

Just hate that we can’t handle prosperity. Truly the North Texas way. Spit the bit right before a huge showdown with SMU at home.

This notion that the team needs to win every game to earn support has to die. Nothing today should deter people from packing the pit on Thursday. Your team is still 4-1 while missing 2 starters.

If we can always chuckle when an opponents message board can’t understand how they only scored 52 points against us, it’s definitely fair play to tip the cap to the defensive effort played against us.

but this offense helped their defense bunches

They had stretches of good defense but didn’t do so much to cause us to shoot 1-17 from 3. That’s all us.

This is bad basketball. If buggs/Rubin don't make it back soon and steer this ship we will be middle of the pack in this leauge. Again, clt is not very good. We are just worse.

Are you talking about just today? Because Charlotte is 4-1 with a win over FAU.
