I'm really starting to like this guy and what he has to say. Honestly I may be more biased to him since he looks exactly like Coach Taylor in Friday Night Lights, and who doesn't love them some Coach Taylor??

I believe we can win a couple games with him because of his ability to extend plays and run the ball when all else fails. Definitely feel much better about the offense with Smith in there, the defense however...

Just sent out my tweet as a student. Hopefully seeing students that recognize the problem will show how serious we are about a change.

If English wasn't bringing the ball up the court, he hardly had an impact for a good amount of the second half due to Greg being on him all the time. They missed multiple threes and other shots during that time. We just couldn't gain any ground because we kept missing our shots and turning the ball over.

I'll give Benford credit for his decision to have Greg inside English's jersey for most of the second half to slow him down and it worked for the most part. We just couldn't score enough to chip away at the lead. Turnovers are definitely a concern but something that can be fixed. Was very impressed with the first half play and hope we can continue playing at that level. Luckily we get a lesser openent to figure things out and get some confidence back before we go on a tough stretch.

Iona is a really good team, and we showed we can play with teams like that in the first half. We slowed down they leading scorer in the second half by keeping Greg glued to him. Most of his points in the second half came off free throws. We just need to knock down more shots and quit the silly turnovers. I believe this team can easily be better than last years team and I can see that they're playing with more emotion which is a good sign. We finally got a test and now it's time to learn from it and improve. Far to soon to worry.

Refs have missed about three traveling calls on Iona

I was at the game tonight as a student and I noticed that there were plenty more students in the student section tonight vs the Nicholls game. Handfuls more were standing and cheering out loud all game. There was a campus email sent out today advertising the next few home games for the men's and women's teams, so that may have helped get the word out and put more students in the seats tonight.

As a student, I actually follow the football team and read up on these forums quite often so I knew the level of competition we faced dropped dramatically between La Tech and Nicholls. I was excited to see Dajon start and show us what he can do because I'm a fan of the dual threat QB and that thrashing was definitely more fun to watch then the lack of offense we showed two weeks ago. I remember hearing students and young alumni chanting Dajon's name at the game, so there is definitely more excitement around campus with him as QB. Also another thing I've noticed on campus this year is that I haven't seen as many students wearing shirts from other colleges as much as I did last year. I suppose they're starting to realize we have an up and coming program and more are decided to jump on board with the team.

I know this is a silly question but I doubt I'm the only one excited and anxious to see the new helmets revealed! I was wondering if anybody had any insight as to when they will be revealed or if we know any information as to what they will look like?

This may be a silly question but I've never attended a spring game and was wondering what the atmosphere is like. Are there bands or the green brigade there? Will there be food of any sort? Are we able to sit wherever or is it restricted seating? Just a few questions regarding this Saturday

I see that the new football schedule still shows TBA on the times for all the games. Does anyone know when those times will be announced and when we can start purchasing single game tickets?? I'm anxious to purchase my ticket for the game in Austin!!

I would like to see a white helmet with the green SOW to compliment the white jersey and pants for away games or have a "white out" themed game at Apogee

Is there any information out there concerning the idea that we will have new uniforms next season? I like the traditional style of our current uniforms (except for the NORTH TEXAS helmet font) but would like to see some sort of new uniforms to go along with the program's turnaround. Thoughts?
