DeSoto up 22-20 in the third.
Also, Kilgore up 37-6 on Stephenville in the 4th quarter. Looks like they'll face Carthage in the state finals next week.

DeSoto takes the lead 14-10 with about 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Desmon White with 2 touchdown runs. DeSoto defense stepping up as well.

I agree. Bringing in 4 potential studs at receiver this class, you have to hope we utilize that strength should it become one. Although we did have 3 receivers top the 500 yard mark this season, so they should know that we will get them the ball if they can make plays.Someone had better be in constant contact with these guys and assuring them that our offensive scheme will not only be (in the recent words of coach Mac) "run the rock, run the rock". Because TCU has just jazzed up their offensive scheme with the hiring of a new OC.

See guys! I knew Cooley could say good things about recruits!I like Goree! If Mac doesn't play head games with this freshman to be he should start right away. I liked all their offensive skill guys. I think UTSA may have a steal in their QB. Rutherford is heavier than I thought. Another 15 lbs. And he will be good to go.
I also liked the RB for LaGrange. Good luck to these guys next week. By the way, Goree played every down on offense and defense. He was also their punt returner but may have only fielded one punt due to the wind.
Just messin with ya Cooley. He definitely will have a chance to start. Harris will start in the slot again and Darvin Kidsy appears to have been groomed to start on the outside. The other outside starting receiver will be a competition between Darius Terrell, redshirting freshman Turner Smiley, and redshirt Sophomore Rod Lancaster who has been injured his whole career. If none of those guys separate themselves in the spring then Goree could easily come in and take it.
Regardless, he will see the field plenty freshman year.

Yeah, they used to be 4A for a while. I think that last year was their first year in 3A and they won the state title. Go figure.Stephenville is 3A? Been out of Texas for a while but didn't know that. Wow.

Will play the winner of Stephenville and Kilgore. Kilgore is the number 2 team in the state and has been rolling everyone in the playoffs. Stephenville is the defending 3A division 1 state champs and is led by Junior qb Jarrett Stidham, a national prospect who already claims offers from schools like Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Oregon to name a few.
Carthage has already knocked off one defending 3A state champ in Navasota (last years 3A division 2 state champs).

Wow. 28 td catches on the year. That fear that NT03 has is starting to sink in with me.
One thing is for sure. We are much better suited to be able to hold onto Goree this year than in years past.
