In a lotto for 1200 seats they said and no not all dead center as that photo as from a student where he was gong to sit apparently. Go down the rabbit hole that is Reddit student section seating…. I got lost lol.

They aren’t dead center….. and sure going to games for 30 years and I’m a miserable fan…. Ok 🙃

Here is where a select few Duke students are allowed to sit. And yes many sit up top. 1,200 “crazies” sit in section 17. -you can go get lost on Reddit to read all about the threads of where students sit at games and find almost none of them are anywhere outside of behind and to the sides of the goals. The rest up top. Many have to actually purchase tickets or enter a lotto.

Well a simple search (plus having know people from other universities) would be they sit whine the goals and most of the pay for that….. or in football they pay (sometimes) more than I do for a club ticket at UNT and then sit in the nose bleeds….

People come to watch games. If they want to jump around the whole time then go join the cheer leaders….. little reason to get hyped until the game is over and we have won.

Rumor is at half he was Chewing on Aaron Scott’s ear…. Maybe it worked…. also told them to start attacking and drawing fouls. That might have been worked.

….. people come to watch a game. I wouldn’t want a bunch of people jumping up and down in front of me. I can be here and don’t even have to clap…. We show up to watch the game. Close end game scenarios are different sure.

They literally get in free….. stop it. They can jump around behind the goal. I don’t mind a little standing or in close games at the end but I much prefer to sit and watch the game.

Why would there not be an advantage behind the basket? They literally get in free and can be behind the opposing teams basket for a half and near bench still.

Absolutely not. Unless they purchase the tickets then sure. Otherwise student section is top bowl and 5 sections behind one of the goals.

We were at the game. At least for most of it. Just bummed we lost to Fordham. Everything else was fine but that took the wind out the sails.

Eh. I was thinking 8-4 out of conference record and 9-9 In conference. One win in the conference tourney then outed. That seems relatively possible still. I guess that’s 18-14. Perhaps a little high.

That’s fine. It is also dependent upon how often the other team scores and the pace of the game. I heard the same argument every Mavs game…. Guys we went 4 minutes without scoring blah blah blah. It happens. In college a 2-4 minute drought isn’t that uncommon. 5-8 minutes without a bucket or maybe just a single bucket yeah that’s an issue. That can still be corrected though.

Somebody should look at the box score and check Fordhams scoring droughts as well….. or any box score for an average game 😉

Will have to settle for playing as the guys in NBA2k24 and try to put the best down on Michigan….

I legit wouldn’t take a million dollars to transfer out of UNT. One transfer that’s it and one redshirt year in any sport as long as they played 30% or less of the games. NIL shouldn’t play as factor as it should be abolished and the only money to be made should be incentive based and given to the team equally.

That’s great! These kids may even have difficulty finding jobs because of all this. Our old neighbor worked in distribution for a company. Always said I have never turned down a guy who was an Eagle Scout or came in ready for his first job on a straight path. Always had to turn away the guy bouncing around jobs or were not stable going to various colleges or other fields of work first. It’s really not a great look for the future on all of these NCAA athletes doing this. 😕

After selfish choice like that…. Nope. He could come crawling back and offer us 100k just to play and I would hold the door open as he leaves…. Already shown his character and that’s problem. We in turn get the same as we get more and more transfers. Guys in battle who would turn their back an walk away while their friends and ally’s take the bullets and sacrifice it all. College sports are really becoming pathetic to watch play out.
