  1. Dont want to rock the boat with you long timers nor start an ugly debate....but Patience....Patience.......Let us see what spring brings us.
  2. Curious if this will change any Saturday games to Thursday? Look at the article and it mentions Thurs and Sat CUSA games.
  3. Boise cant wear blue out with the backdrop of the blue field....Eastern Washington cant red out with the backdrop of their red field....thus Marshall and I bet we have been told that too.
  4. Perry is a great coach and turned around many programs in Arlington. This has been "done" since the first of January.
  5. if certain positions fall into place on offense, i think we have the skill positions to have a really good pistol offense.
  6. maybe I missed it, but one name I have not seen in this thread on DT's is Dylan Mcdorman. (spell check on his name) Connor brought him home a few weeks ago with Shaun Mckinney....first both are great kids....but I could tell Dylan has some nasty...I am anxious to see him this spring.
  7. Jr day events have become huge tools for many schools to get a better look at this upcoming 14' kids. I know this past Saturday we had a jr day that I heard had a good turnout. I knew one kid there, a qb from Oakridge. Any news on other attendees?
  8. Personally, My money is on The Buss getting some PT this year at OT. Also, dont think Dutton Watson will sit too much this year at DL.
  9. So...got some good stuff going on including a great time at the signing party last night and a lot of excitement along with: - solid returning starters on both sides of the ball - appears to have a good redshirt freshman class - good jucos and transfers All this means GREAT competition in spring which only can help the team. Now....2014 class begins with Junior day 2/23. Be interested to see who we have coming in.
  10. billy, you were there last night? if so, sorry i missed you. yea, C is very excited about the spring and next season. I am anxious to see what Bull does this spring.
  11. Billy..Connor is now 6'5, 305. Maybe you saw him with his boots on
  12. Billy...not a fan of two qb system. I dont have a problem pulling a guy if he is having a really bad day, but only if REAL bad. I personally think you need the continuity. Plus, and you can speak to this directly, cadence is a big thing and two guys will sound different and could have issues with that.
  13. Kram...it was a great event. Love the energy and excitement. After talking to my son, the whole team is really excited and echos Coach Mac that the workouts have a lot of energy and hard work.
  14. Also heard the DE put in a plug for black jerseys
  15. Billy..I agree with Matt. SUPER athlete. Jordan Avery ....no one talked to him...another 3 year starter.
  16. Personally..I think this ranking is as bogus as the "star" ranking system....not worth the paper it is written on. but thats just me.
  17. #97 this morning. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/scorecard
  18. Billy...you are correct because the formation would be too deep if the qb was at reg shotgun depth since the rb is set up behind the qb in pistol. in shotgun, if there is a rb in the backfield, he is usually set beside the qb. make a text to Michigan for verification.
  19. dont know if UNT looked or not. he was one that i would not have referred unt too anyway.
  20. A DT from Martin committed to Ark St yesterday. Was surprised this kid went d1. but his dad did play pro
  21. And they are in the DFW metroplex recruiting. They were at Arlington Martin yesterday.
  22. Arkansas St new facility that they broke ground on in Oct.
  23. reference the first part of your response along with the progression of all aspects of the game....i.e., better equipment, better facilities. I like many of your on here played in a time when a concussion = getting your bell rung....a broken finger was diagnosed as a jammed finger and taped to the next finger and go for more, and training inside meant going to the gym if there was an absolute turd floater going on. i agree that training in your element whether it be hot or cold can be and is beneficial. training in a controlled environment during extreme weather...some of the time....gives you more productive training. do you think that all the colleges and high schools add indoor facilities for the one purpose of recruiting? i dont think so. and there are far more colleges that dont have them and i dont expect UNT to have one anytime soon if at all. it was just a casual observation. but that is a cool pic
  24. that is a "cool" pic. off season is so important this year. but this pic also makes me ask....Indoor facility????
