  1. 6-6 pretty much is a bowl game guarantee. With the amount of bowls, come on, it's a fact.
  2. I don't think the 60,000 who pack their stadium in LUBBOCK think they're disrespected. I'd love to have a fan base like Tech. There's a difference with Philly. That's crossing a line. Philly throws batteries at their own team.
  3. Then they shouldn't be playing the North Texas chant we do. They figured it out by the 3rd.
  4. Big 10, first win at Apogee, first win under Mac, first home win in 8 games, there was more than enough reasons to rush then.
  5. I was right next to the Talons, and they were stupid as hell. One guy came up and tried to explain football because we kept heckling their punter saying "You're not gonna get in the game". No one heckled, they didn't cheer, and sat down. Stupid.
  6. Of course everyone tends to think Ohio State is a trashy, horrible fan base; and the Aggies. I could care less what Nebraska does, Nebraska fans suck. Look, you're gonna have to accept it, if we get big, the fans at a crowd aren't going to be polite, good-mannered fans. I was taken to a Browns game when I was 7, and I'm sorry, sheltering your kids from what's out there is just dumb. I'm not going to get into a parenting discussion, but I was brought up where cursing was taught that it wasn't something you'd every time because it's trashy, but was brought up around and it and accept it. I'll curse up a storm all I want at UNT games. Say what you want, I've been to Ohio State and Cleveland Browns games; two of the best football atmospheres, and there was plenty of cursing. I'd love to replicate that atmosphere here. Buffoonery won Tech plenty of fans, which at this point, is all I want.
  7. God, I hate our fan base sometimes. Seriously. I have never seen a more uptight group of out of touch "football fans". Why don't we golf clap when we score a TD? I bet you found it outrageous that our band played over their fight song and finished their chant. If we don't have a typical FBS atmosphere, we won't have attendance. Guarantee you McCarney and Villareal like what WE do, and not what YOU do.
  8. Does being family friendly put you on the level of being one of the toughest places in football to play at? NO! I've been to Ohio State games. All of which have furious cursing and are brutal and INCREDIBLE atmosphere. I'm not going to get into this, call it trashy, call it classless, all I know is Nice Guys Finish Last. Ohio State=rings UT=rings. Fan base curses up a storm at the games and is pretty much violent. This is my point. I'll keep cursing up a storm and leading the student section in chants with cursing in them. I would be unbelievably pissed off if UNT games were quiet and "family friendly". Why don't we just golf clap? It'd be the same difference.
  9. Have you ever been to a UT game? Or an A&M game? Cursing, brutal fans and no rushing the field.
  10. At FAU, there was one player we honed in on, who we had totally rattled. And ULM's punter got furious at us because we kept calling him every name in the book.
  11. What college games have you been to that are "family friendly"? At every college game I've been to, I've heard upwards of 50+ curse words during the game. We're right on pace.
  12. Good point. Look, I'm just cool, excited that we've got a good fan base this year.
  13. The school pride is building...huge...this year.
  14. Don't get me wrong, I got nothing against y'all! Y'all paved the way for the students and this stadium. I'm just so disappointed with the "meh" vibe I get from a good majority of the alumni side.
  15. I love this coaching team. We look powerful and methodical in spurts this year. I never saw anything where we looked so dominating last year, we looked like we fell into our wins last year. This year, we EARNED them.
  16. That's actually a pretty good idea. At least for a few plays.
  17. It is. And big wins. We're doing it for every time we win at home. Which is dumb.
  18. No, not at all, in fact, I'm one of the most vicious fans in the student section. But rushing the field makes us look like a high school.
  19. Hell no I won't be buying tickets on the alumni side. Not that your numbers are horrific, but the fans could obviously give a damn on the alumni side.
  20. FAU game we kept "reeling them in", and ULM it was also pretty ridiculous. I'm keeping the heckling going, it's quite amusing. I can't think of many other college football teams who are, first off, as close as we are to them, but also, as vicious as we are. It's pretty much a home field advantage to make up for lack of attendance. Student section is just making Apogee loud and angry at visitors.
  21. To be honest, I don't want the Frats on the hill. I'd love to see them be forced out.
  22. If they call the game and play DT like they did yesterday, we've turned the corner.
  23. Yup, I'm on the 50 on the student section. Our Super Pit is notorious for heckling the visitor bench, we could never do this at Fouts. So, yeah, we've been ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL to the Visitors. They are not going to want to play here, I guarantee you most other stadiums other than some one like Tech or A&M aren't as vicious as we've been the past few games. I love this new tradition. No one will want to play here.
  24. There was this frat blasting music you could hear inside Apogee who were doing beer bongs.
  25. Hey, don't y'all start bitching at me, seriously. I was celebrating the win, totally. I'm just not on board with this whole "rush the field every game" thing. Doesn't make me not a fan, or worried about image, in a way. I just don't like this idea or burgeoning tradition. This is the best kind of post-game argument.
