  1. Agreed. As a former athlete myself I was taught to have pride in my performance. We got praised when we did good and bashed when we did bad, nature of the beast. Honestly, if most of the guys I knew got their number called out by a fan that served as motivation. Nobody wanted to be "that guy", im sorry maybe things have changed. I don't see anything wrong with giving these guys a hard time so they get their heads in the game. As fans we love just as hard as we hate, as college athletes they should know that by now. Respect is earned, not givin.
  2. Yeah, that'll fix everything.. Ignorant statement.. Good game, keep winning and the crowd will come.
  3. Whoa, slow down cowboy. Apogee dominates that stadium, but they could have painted the benches and threw in some backs. Color fading as an excuse doesn't cut it for me. A sea of green in the stands has a profound effect.
  4. This my friends is how you build a program with culture. Culture that leads to national relevance and aq conference worthiness. There is a reason the UT/OU game isn't concerned with the ALCS! Fans and more fans supporting the program, the only proven way to NCAA greatness!
  5. Wow. Fortunatley for me I've never found myself in Green Bay, Wisconsin. That's awful, Lambeau Field is officially the Fouts Field of the NFL. No offense to any Green Bay natives.
  6. Man your missing the point, the seatbacks are unique and they upgrade FAU's stadium, period. Ive never visited an NFL stadium and found benches, now you wont find benches at FAU's house either and they deserve some credit for that. Apogee is still superior, take a breath.. FAU's stadium isnt expandable?
  7. I have zero love for the Sunbelt, sry. I agree with everything else. I also think the Sunbelt is a safe haven at least until/if this supercon. theory comes to fruition which shouldnt happen for a good while. In the mean time we need to hammer some teams in the Belt so we're ready next time realignment comes around.
  8. I'm sure they do, but as you can see in the FAU video some of them don't... One thing all high school stadiums have in common is bench seating. It's not a big deal, just sayin..
  9. Umm, that stadium is pretty legit.. I like the team color seating and seat backs, why didnt they paint the bleachers at Apogee. That's a major fail on UNT's part. Bench seats are a bit high schoolish in my opinion.
  10. Take it easy man. No offense but irrational fans like you are what makes being a coach even more difficult. Honestly I expected this team to go 0-5 through the first 5 games of this season, beating Indy was a pleasant suprise. This coach has been handed a team with close to 0 talent and no football iq whatsoever, as he has openly stated many times. He's testing out his theories and seeing what works right now, let him do that. Everyone needs to relax, support what he's trying to do and drop these crazy expectations.
  11. Excellent post, clearly a number of us have a distorted view of were we stand in collegiate athletics. Im very sorry but the big 12 just isn't an option and anyone affiliated with the big 12 that would allow that to happen would be put on meds. At this time our primary focus should be recognition; winning games against well known teams and demolishing our competition in the Sunbelt. If we can acheive those goals, then and only then, will our true potential as a program become relevant in larger conference circles. It's only a matter of time.. A bowl ap. and a big ten win in DM's first season would be truly profound. Moving forward, after we accomplish the previously mentioned goals the MWC and CUSA should top the list of potential candidates. When the program is stout and we beat some teams we should'nt have beat, eyebrows will raise and the transition will be effortless. Beating IU shows these guys are starting to take themselves seariously and coach Mac knows what hes doing. The ugly duckling eventually became a swan, UNT is set to do big things in the NCAA.
