  2. Only problem with that argument: That game was originally scheduled to be Texas Tech, but they pulled out before the season started. Chris Del Conte, the TCU AD, pretty much scheduled the only team that would take them. At that point almost every FBS team had filled up their OOC schedule, plus Gary Patterson spent time at Tennessee Tech so that also had some play. Tech is also seriously considering buying out the 2011 game with TCU, so you can't put TCU at fault here when they have a schedule in place and other teams pull out. TCU wants to play anyone they can, for this reason to cast off this idea that they don't play anyone. They are trying to schedule Ohio State, but that's more than likely not going to happen.
  3. TCU nation hates these unis and so do I. Apparently Nike has never been in Fort Worth and seen all the PURPLE. At the same time, we(the TCU side of my heart) are playing in the Rose Bowl so it doesn't matter anyway. With that said, I think these uniforms look just atrocious. Absolutely god awful.
  4. Bowen is still in Denton. Nothing has changed, this is just rumor. Panic hats off, everything is alright. Welcome Coach Bowen to UNT, can't wait to see what you bring to the team!
  5. I would also like to give these boys some pub by saying this will be one of the last North Texas Sports Machine shows due to both of the hosts graduating. They do a real good show, and yes it is much better entertainment than the Cowboy game that is for sure. Show them some love and give them a listen.
  6. I actually hit this one pretty well. I said between 10-15, and 11 is there. As far as game goes, 0 on GSU got heckled something fierce by the PC tonight. Airball became his new nickname, everytime he had the ball he got it from them. UNT seemed to be a little less sharp, however they did a good job exploiting the GSU foul trouble by going off for 71% from the FT line. Good win, then again any win is a good one.
  7. I showed up near the very end of the first half(they did scan my ID, so I'm guessing they are doing better with that) and man the crowd looked bad. They reported 2446 for this game, and 2800 for the UTA game but there is not a chance that is true. UTA was much more packed, they overshot on this one I hate to say.
  8. This should be a win, I don't see it not be unless the players go on a run like UTA had the entire game. I don't see it as a laugher, but a good 10-15 margin should be what the end result is.
  9. TxState is reaching there. That guy isn't even close to the best assistants TCU has. Bumpas, Fuentes, and Anderson are all much more qualified.
  10. For the Rice game, I showed up at the second half and I pretty much just walked in with my two friends. Nobody was there to scan or sell anything. Now tonight I showed up at tip time and my ID was scanned. So yes I think this is an issue.
  11. Everytime I've been to a game, the Pit Crew and students have been great. As a freshman, I feel what someone said earlier is very apt. If you can get people in the building, then you'll have fans. I already have plans to go to Thursday's game, and if I'm not studying or anything I want to make all the games. It's one of those things, just put it in front of them and once you get them there they will dig it. Though in all fairness, the person I was with is an early graduation senior and he didn't want to take any chances. I'd love to see a lot more publicity around campus, if we can do it for football then we can do it for basketball.
  12. I was very happy to see him at the game, and he and RV were also pumping the crowd up near the end of the game. He also exchanged a greeting with JJ as the team left the court. It is very disappointing to hear about this however. I wasn't a big fan of the hire(I'm still on the fence, bringing Chico back helped) but it's like the President to me: respect the position. The guy is here and isn't going anywhere, so let's show him that UNT is quality. No reason to get off on a sour note with the guy.
  13. I think a lot of people left at halftime due to the score. A lot of students I think are also getting ready for finals(a friend in my party had to leave for that reason) and once the game was "in hand" they took off. Once conference play rolls around we should be doing much better.
  14. I actually set right behind these guys at the game tonight. I have a picture of them, lemme find it. Here we go. This is taken with my phone, so bear with me: http://yfrog.com/77113010192800j Some comments on their behavior, half of the "Crew" showed up to the game late. Their chants were also very weak and unoriginal, and to be honest they acted very arrogant even when UNT had UTA down by double digits. One of them(not shown) tried to hit on one of the MG fans behind us, and he was shot down when he tried to impress them with their hand sign. However, there was a very nice guy that sat next to me who showed quite a bit of class and even made the comment "You guys don't miss" in regards to the 3 pointers. So the good and the bad, I think this looks a lot better at home for the Mavs but in Denton it just looked very poor and kind of stupid.
