Hi Rick, This is Grant Gilbert. I just want to say thank you. I didn’t go to a small school, a cheap school, or a convenient school. I went to the school of my choice! I made a conscious decision to go to a school that wasn’t a subsidiary of another school, had sports programs to enjoy, had a tradition, and was located where I could be an extremely active member of the alumni association. Those are some reasons why I chose North Texas! I’m proud to be a UNT alum. There is no better time to be a part of the mean green nation than now. Thank you for giving us an awesome stadium, good athletics programs, and now a real chance to get competitive with CUSA. Congrats to Johnny Jones and Karen Aston, but you better stay put, Sir. I was just touring around the CUSA website store, and saw so many cool items. I can't wait till Nike blows us up. Anybody see that slick Nike track suit that RV was wearing at the Spring Game? RV for president!! Thanks for everything you have given us to be proud of, minus the Dodge hiccup. Bygones, my friend.

After I called you with the breaking news the UNT Daily News facebook page printed a retraction. It's definitely happening now though.

All this sounds awesome, in theory! Let's tap the brakes on speculation. We'll see what happens. However, if we join the super conference will we start using CLC(collegiate licensing company) for our gear, and be able to buy tons of Nike gear at stores??

So we got shorted a home game and we have a weekday game. So, basically we have 4 chances to tailgate for real. I guess me, THOR, and UNT90GRAD are going to have blow it out on Saturdays.
