  1. All my best to the Mean Green against stAte tomorrow!!
  2. I'm pullling for y'all!! GEUAX MEAN GREEN!!!
  3. We didn't have our offense up and running for that game like it is now. Doesn't matter. We picked the best QB in the nation THREE TIMES that game and scored on two of them. Don't be surprised if the CAJUNS get a couple more on Saturday!!!
  4. By the way, with that pick-6 by Melvin White, every single member of the CAJUNS' seondary has at least 1 this season!!!
  5. Are you talking about THIS one?? http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:7078332 BTW, the CAJUNS lead the NATION in pick-6's right now with FIVE, TWO of them against Brandon Weeden of OKLAHOMA STATE!!!
  6. Having a new stadium helps... Having a winning team helps MORE.
  7. Hey COY, carve me a couple slices of that...
  8. Ask some of your friends on here. Come early, meet some good people, and GET FED!!
  9. Personally, I'm not counting on anything EVER being done about it in Baton Rouge. As far as I'm concerned, if lsu can call themselves a top(sic) research university, then I can call OUR school THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA!!
  10. Funny stuff guys! Turnabout's fair play... http://raginpagin.com/
  11. ...and best of luck with the rest of your season!! I also pray the students of North Texas will do the RIGHT thing and vote for the fee that will help to get your new stadium!!! GEAUX CAJUNS!!!!!!!!!!
  12. While I'm not able to make the trip up to Denton this weekend, I hope that I will get to see the CAJUNS play the Mean Green in your NEW stadium very soon!!!
  13. If it means anything, I think the Mean Green WILL cover the spread...
  14. I don't know of a single game (at least for the 26 years that I've been a fan!) in which the CAJUNS were anything NEAR a 23-point favorite!! I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT!!!
  15. Serious question folks: HOW did this program get from 4-time Sun Belt Conference Champions to where they are now?? I truly had my doubts for awhile as to whether the CAJUNS would ever really be able to compete in this Conference, but they persevered and seem to be getting there. In fact, I'm impressed at how the entire Conference has grown, particularly over the last 3-4 seasons.
  16. I don't know for sure, but I suggested to some firends of mine that Bustle might want to rest him this week because, from what I've heard, he's really beat up. Brad Maguire, our #2 red-shirt frosh QB, looked good in the one sreies he got to play against K-State. Thing is, Des is the type who'll keep playing as long as his legs still work and he remains conscious!!
  17. By the way, I meant to invite all of you to come converse on our boards: The University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Fan Forum AND The Cajun Red Zone
  18. Hey, as long as you can keep a smile on your face and still support your team!! Believe me, we've had to do the same for a long time until recently!!!
  19. The warthogs over there in MONroe didn't know what hit 'em last night!! Unlike those guys, I happen to have met a few of you over the last few years (especially during your NO Bowl run), and I consider y'all friends, so it pains me to see you guys struggling. At the same time, we do have a game this week, and I'm looking forward to an exciting contest, injury-free of course!!! Unfortunately, between a couple of suspensions and a couple of key losses on defense, the CAJUNS will be looking for some young players to step up. And even though he had a pretty good night (172 yds. passing, 149 yds. running) QB Michael Desormaux is nursing a hip pointer and a broken nose from the K-State game last week, and I'm pretty sure he's feeling it big-time. Then there's Tyrell Fenroy. He and Des are carrying the team on their shoulders and we're loving every second of it!!! HOWEVER, this team's been prone to turnovers and penalties that have either kept opponents in the game (like last night!), or GIVEN them the game outright (like K-STATE). Now that I've told you about this year's CAJUNS, maybe you'd like to share about the MEAN GREEN.
  20. BELIEVE ME, there's NO identity crisis. UL in Lafayette is older, larger, has a much larger and diverse student population, and commands more federal as well as state research funding than that quaint, little "university" in Monroe!!!
  21. Shof is correct, technically, but (then) USL did legally apply for and was granted the name the University of Louisiana back in 1984, then had it taken away from them by the state legislature at the behest of a few idiots at LSU and a couple of other state institutions. Here are some details, though some of the information toward the bottom of the page may be a bit outdated now: http://www.angelfire.com/la3/ulragincajuns/battle.html
  22. If you're still in your early to mid-20's, maybe. Otherwise, they now have some really good clubs downtown including Marley's and the City Club.
  23. I haven't had the opportunity to go down there, but I have heard lots of good things about the facility and the area. I will make the trip down there eventually. Make sure you get to eat dinner at Prejean's, or Cafe' Vermillionville, or Blue Dog Cafe'(kick-sss Sunday Brunch!), or... B) GEAUX CAJUNS!!!!!!
