Last 3 seasons or so we sat in Section F, Row 30, 11-13 This year we added a ticket and were moved to Row 26, 10-13(?); still in section F. Usually had room to spread out, but I have a feeling we won't have that luxury this year.

Today I'll be playing the role of the wet blanket... 9/1 @ OU- L 9/8 @ SMU- W 9/22 FLA ATLANTIC-L 9/29 @ ARKANSAS-L 10/6 @ LOUISANA LAFAYETTE-W 10/13 LOUISIANA MONROE-L 10/20 @ TROY-L 10/27 MUTS-L 11/10 NAVY- L 11/15 @ARKY STATE-L 11/24 WESTERN KENTUCKY-W 12/1 @ FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL-W Ending with a 4-8 record, but hoping they do so much better!

Ever since I heard we were playing Navy this year I wondered if there was going to be a flyover. According to the local chapter of Navy's Alumni Association there will be. LINK I have a feeling this game will break the Baylor attendance record, if it hadn't been broken already...

It seems that typically the next season's football schedule is released about 6-7 months before the season starts. Places like UT and ATM have their next couple years' schedules finalized and more than 50% of the games schedule for nearly the next decade. What keeps UNT from being able to do the same thing? Will this change with Dodge and having a winning record the next couple of seasons?

And their bias, or really any other media's bias for that matter, doesn't end with just sports teams. But, they don't want you to know that.

I think most of the ire is directed at the thought that killing of innocents as an acceptable act of "political definance," not the Islamic faith. Another lack of understanding the subtle difference between intolerance and disagreement. They are not ignored. Car bombs detonated in markets and on city streets with the intent of killing innocent women and children and causing chaos is a little different than a tactical strike of a building terrorists have choosen as a base of operations, Mosque or not. Political discourse gets nasty... That's half the fun!!!

Just like Hamas is a political organization whose membership happen to be Muslim? Or Hezbollah? These three are some of the current organizations that kill woman and children, on what seems to be a routine daily basis, as acts of "political defiance". Seems if anyone should be classified as intolerant, it would be them. Western occupation of what? Iraq? What was it before then, the occupation of Israel? The Middle East? Eastern Hemisphere? Earth? I declare this thread now completely derailed!!!

Having a belief in something different than somebody else does not mean your intolerant. This train of thought is why we have such an issue in the country with political correctness. I can respect someone's choice to believe in something I don't, but that doesn't mean I have to believe it. And if asked, I shouldn't have to lie about it. I think there is a lack of political leaders that are willing to voice, with respect, what they truly believe. Almost a completely derailed thread, glad I helped!

I agree with SE on this point... My parents are both recently retired high school teachers and can attest that there has been a lot more talk about supporting education than any actual support. When you're in the trenches day in and day out, you get a good idea of how things are going.

If we truly embrace the new slogan, we should consistanly fill the stadium! Change the dancer's outfits a bit, have the Green Brigade learn a new marching pattern, 30K every game!

If your phone can play an MP3 as a ringtone and you can download off your computer to your phone (i.e. USB cable, Motorola Phone Tools, etc...) you could just download the fight song MP3 from here and not have to pay for it... I did this and it sounds great! I would love a UNT canopy as well. If anyone knows where to get them let me know. The closest I have come is a green one from Walmart (link), almost the right color.

I've seen several posts over the years of pics. Some are on Flickr, Kodak's site, etc... Is there a single spot out there that's the best place to post the various pictures showing our UNT pride? I have seen several sites that have a specific fourm setup for posting pictures and wonder why GMG doesn't have the same. Just a thought, I'm sure there are a lot of pictures out there of people displaying their UNT pride that would be worth seeing and some that are not....

When can we expect the upcoming men's basketball schedule to be finalized and released?

When Dodge was first announced as HC, there was a lot of talk about possibly landing Riley. People who thought it was a surprise that UNT was on Riley's list of considerations would definitely have been in the minority. But thinking he would commit to us is taking it to an entirely different level. There seemed to be a majority who thought it would be good if he came here, but not that it was expected or even a high probability.

Not going to make it to the OU games, but placed the order for the SMU game... Now, just need to figure out where to park!
