  1. I am ashamed to say I left after our debacled third quarter opening play. I couldn't stand it. That game was horrible. Worse than Tulsa.
  2. What I saw last night was a totally inept team. I won't even try to defend any MTSU comments they throw at us. Our coaches and team earned them.
  3. You ask alot of good questions here. My dad (who has never seen us play)q & I were at the game last night. He asked why do we keep trying the same thing over and over. He also asked why we don't make adjustments on the offense or defense. He was also wondering why we always scrambled and ran center and mostly right. I haven't counted the plays, but it sured seemed like we ran alot of same plays, especially to the right.
  4. The board "made him ill." You've gotta be kidding?!?!? He makes a quarter of million dollars (plus bonuses) and gets paid to make the tough decisions and deal with the media and public. If a coach can't cope or flourish under extreme stress, than they don't belong in today's competitive sports. You statement may qualify as one of the most ridiculous statements I've heard in this forum.
  5. I was at the game. I noticed the snaps too. That was an UGLY game. Even my 9 year old daughter and wife that never watch football commented that our team had big time problems and didn't understand why they had so much trouble moving the ball. My daughter said that she thought she play better.
  6. I'm sorry. I was so miserable after tonight's performance, but I just busted nut laughing so hard about your nose picking comment.
  7. Good game... wish y'all the best this season; we, on the other hand, have a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg season ahead.
  8. I am pretty sure that DD will bring out the creative game plan that we saw against SMU, Akron, and parts of Tulsa. It is hard to predict which offense will show up for this game though. I think another poster provided the best analogy: DD is a recovering "run o'holic" and sometimes relapses during adverse times. Hopefully, DD has been making progress in his recovery and will trust in Woody and our offense's ability to execute a more dynamic game plan.
  9. Myself plus my wife, daughter, and father. My dad flew up from Corpus so we could go to our first father/son football game!!!
  10. FIU are building a 45,000 seat stadium that will be ready in 2009. A previous GMG poster was speculating if UNT could build our stadium (similar size) by 2009, so based on the FUI build time it appears it could be ready if we wanted it. Also, did you notice FIU said they see no reason why they will should not be a top 25 team after the stadium build.
  11. sorry.. didn't know.. why is it a no-no by BTW?
  12. here is a Scrappy Wallpaper It is for computers.. I don't know if you can convert it to a mobile phone wallpaper or not.
  13. There is nothing wrong with these expectations given our situation. I don't care what anyone says. I have been very critical myself. But, REALITY CHECK: the BEST we can do for this season is win the belt, win our last OOC game, and win NO bowl. I am cheering for this best case scenario for this season. We'll have plenty of time to go head hunting afterwards. I think the only thing that could send me over the edge again is if we have another Tulsa style loss.
  14. Actually, when was the last time we went 2-4 in OOC (excluding D1AA opponents) or even 3-3? I am not trying to be a smart ass, I don't know.
  15. Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns or something like that.
  16. True, but they are the ONLY goals available to us right now.
  17. I hear you. Like or not, our highest possible achievements this year are to win the Sun Belt outright (none of this "co-champion" garbage) and to WIN the New Orleans bowl. I wouldn't mind beating LaTech either, which would make us 2-3 in OOC play. I will be very proud of our boys with these accomplishments, and probably celebrate for a week. We can worry about all the other stuff we (including myself) have been posting later on. Right now our boys need our support!
  18. I wish UNT78 responded to our requests as to how he came about his very interesting and informative information (had the tone of insider knowledge). I realize that if he is part of UNT admin or close to someone who is, he couldn't tell us. But it would be nice for him to at least state that he cannot reveal his sources b/c of confidentiality. If he states so, then we should just leave him alone and let him post without being hassled.
  19. I don't know who he is, but it I did notice that they said "will Bobby Ray stay out of his way" which does imply some kind of problems...It was really posted as more of a figure of speech. I'll rephrase it for you, "Can you someone tell me what role(s) Bobby Ray plays in our athletics?"
  20. What is the dirty on Bobby Ray?
  21. Thanks GreyEagleOne. I appreciate the info. I wish I had time to track all our players and their stories... I am so thankful for GMG.com... keep all the good info coming!
  22. I seem to recall an article saying that a freshman center was working over time with a coach (a coach that was one of UNT's best center's ever) b/c we needed a center ASAP. I can't recall what, if anything, happened to the returning center you mention. I might be remembering this wrong though. Bring me up to speed if I am.
  23. Perhaps we did replace them, and haven't see it yet.
  24. I am not excusing our play. I was outraged after the horrendous Tulsa loss. But I have a few statements: new center, freshman QB, brand spanking new defense. Let's talk next year after OOC play. I think (and hope) and it will be a completely different story.
