  1. Charlotte did make the NCAA Tournament in '04 and lost to Texas Tech by 3 in the first round, not sure how many people are back from that team, but it should be a good test no matter what
  2. I'm not real sure how they count everybody because they can't scan my I.D. and I don't buy a ticket, so how do they count me as being there??
  3. I hate how people think that Jamario has gotten worst, this is not true, he is the same size and same speed (maybe alittle faster) as he was his freshmen year, the problem is with the line... The line is horrable for this and last years team.. People always complain about the QBs, and how Jamario is playing, but how can they do anything when there are 2 or 3 people in the backfield every play?? Let Jamario run behind the Green Team line
  4. as much as I want UT to lose this game, i just don't see Kansas being able to hold on
  5. i'd go but i think it might be alittle too far to drive
  6. Attendance was better then the first game. meangreensports.com says there were 1,100 people at the game (which is kinda hard to believe if u were there). but as for scrappy, he didn't seem the same as normal, but i did like the little games during the officials timeout during the first half, the guy who made that free throw for the chick-fil-a sandwich was the true hero of the game
  7. is tonight's game a regular season game?? I see meangreensports.com is calling that, but if u go to Cameron's basketball site they call it another exhibition

  9. Ya UNT will be good this year. If Wooden plays as physical as he did against Texas college with the depth of our guards, we will be hard to beat. Hopefully a strong start during non-conference can create a "buzz" among students so we can have somewhat of a home court advantage come conference time..
  10. This is my first year at UNT and I went to the exhibition basketball game a couple of nights ago to check out our team.. to my amazement, there was only about 200 people there at best.. Are all UNT basketball games like this?? or was it because it was an exhibition?? UNT has a repectable Basketball program and have a good chance to win the Sun Belt this year.. We have an awesome arena, and we have more then enough students to fill it up.. Why not make UNT basketball some thing special and fill up the arena?? Will more people show up for regular season games?? P.s. There is another game tomorrow (11-10-06) at 7:00
  11. whats so different about SLC?? its all about Dodge's program and the work ethic he provokes in his players.. There are hundreds of schools in Texas with the same average income and same size schools but havn't had half the sucsess Dodge has..
  12. The thread about Todd Dodge made me think about his vaunted spread offense, and what that would be like at North Texas. I personally believe that North Texas would benefit from using a system like Dodge's or say a Mike Leach. A benefit of the spread is that it can equal the playing field for smaller but quicker teams like North Texas. DD seemed pretty stubborn when it came to spreading the offense out to help create more one on one situations for smaller quicker players like Zach Muzzy or Johnny Quinn. A common mis-conception of the spread is that teams who execute the spread can't run the ball. Actually the spread helps create running lanes by clearing people out of the box, and using the speed of smaller linemen.. Maybe Todd Dodge isn't nesacarrily the idea coach for the job, but someone with his offensive philosophy should be.. Look at how Missouri and Texas Tech can compete with the big dogs despite losing many recruits to the bigger more popular Big-12 teams.. I know this is probably a huge over simplification for a bigger recruiting problem for UNT, but I can't stand seeing UNT line up in these power formations and getting plowed over when the play starts
  13. Heck at least we know he can recruit!!
  14. I heard he is former Ranger outfielder Laynce Nix's second cousin1!
  15. North Central Texas College in Gainesville won the Junior College World Series just 3 years ago, and has a ranked team year in / year out, North Texas could get a ton of talent from there alone
  16. Wooden manhandled the Texas College front court, he should be a force during the regular season
  17. My vote is for Jeff Cordell, the former Gainesville, and current Greenville coach, he took Gainesville to state 2 outta his first 3 seasons on the job
