  1. Sale may be a head case and if he doesn't like the heat, then he doesn't need to come here.  Rumors out there that we may pick up Sabbathia.  I would not deal profar, but would be fine with letting Gallo go. Cabrera is already a two strike player, I believe, so I would also pass on him.

BTW, watched the 30 for 30 short last night, The Deal, about the Rangers dealing ARod to the NY.  We took a SS prospect Arias when we could have had a 2B prospect named Robinson Cano.  Hart was a terrible GM.

Four of the dots represent the four major recruiting services...247, Rivals, ESPN, and Scout.  I'm not sure who the fifth one is.  The number of dots 'lit' indicate how many services have rated the candidate.  247 has worked out an equivalent to their grade.

For example, a 5.2 grade by Rivals may be equal to a .7420 grade by 247.  They've used some algorithym to equate another rating service to their grade.  However, if they graded the recruit an 80 then two dots would be lit and the player would receive an average grade of .7710 (.7420+.8000/2).  If at least one of the rating services give him an 80 equivalent he is considered a three-star athlete.

    Thank you.

I've got the UNT representation. Ran into Brandon Jackson here too.

UNT's got a great presence here. Lots of energy. Sat next to Brandin Byrd at the Sonny Dykes section. Ran into Giovanni Vizza as well.

Can't say enough good things about UTSA's Frank Wilson. He's going to do big things.

People said the same about Dodge and Mac.

I'm away on vacation right now( I know, vacation and talking UNT athletics can't co-exist), and your post reminds me of an article from the Dallas Morning News back in 1993-94, written ny Skip Bayless. I think.  Skip talks about how North Texas always "sticks their toes in the athletic/football waters to see what the temperature is like.  They pull out if it's too hot or cold.

when I return home I'll quote his exact words.  Here we are, 23 years later, still testing the waters.

I would give you a +1 except for the Skip Bayless reference!

The above is sad but true.  We are like the big mouth in the neighborhood spouting off until someone calls him on the carpet and he slinks away.  It is time to put these words in to action.

Lol.. So. I put the chances of landing Ryan Newsome at 2% Your thoughts?

Thoughts?  Move your UT/Baylor recruiting argument to a thread dedicated to UT/Baylor recruiting.

Back on topic, the Toledo AD and Farmer from ULL should be at the top of the list.

  6. The administration at North Texas acts like they are scared to be a big football school.  The alumni want it, the students want it and the administration talks like they want it, but their actions never back this up.  Do something different, take a chance, but quit acting like you are afraid someone in the Denia neighborhood is going to slap you hand if you actually put forth the effort.

She asked if I could give him her number if he was interested. I haven't talked to him yet but I doubt he will buy. He has a lot on his plate this fall including getting married. I have 4 tickets so he can always go with me.

Quality sales professional we have here.  She leaves the ball in his court by relying on one person to pass along her number to another person, so that person can call her.  Or, she could have written down his number when offered and made the call herself.  Sorry Brittany, you need to be fired.  And our Athletic Department wonders why our season ticket and MGC sales numbers suck.
