Maybe you should have screened better.

I mean, if 2 are bad, they all HAVE to be bad, right?

Ahh, playing to old assumption game again.  They cleared screenings and had their degrees, but lacked a basic understanding of our business and didn't want to work hard.  Having a lack of basic principles of our business, yet obtaining a degree in that field tells my that are not properly prepared by the school.

I think this calls for a poll...

Worthless.  90 is always right in his mind and will twist results/comments to fit his agenda.  Should work on the Hillary campaign.  Perfect fit.

Lolz. Hardly, but whatever it takes to pretend to have a rivalry, right?

I work with several SMU grads who are smart, hardworking peeps.

But again, that doesn't jive with your football rivalry generalizations.

So according to your view, all UNT students must be poor, stupid working class people who couldn't get into a better school, right? Because isn't that the way this foolish game works?

I have hired two in my past.  Never again.  They didn't know how to work or think without someone holding their hand.

  3. Why would the Big XII not be a power conference?  Last year alone that had the following highly ranked teams:

Football: #3 OU, #14 TCU, #19 OSU, and #21 Baylor

    Men's Basketball: #3 Kansas, #4 OU, #14 WVU, #15 Iowa State and #24 Baylor

    Women's Basketball: #4 Baylor, #7 Texas, #23 WVU, and #24 OU

Baseball: #3 TCU, #4 Okie State, #6 Texas Tech

Softball: #1 OU, #12 Missouri, #21 Baylor and Texas just barely missed being ranked following out of the final poll.

    Pretty stout results.

The single best thing SMU could do for us is to stop this series and allow our new AD to actually attempt to schedule someone that might be ranked above 100 at some point in a preseason poll.

Let SMU go...they don't want to play us anyway, unless it helps them. Right now, they need the wins, but if they become a winner this year or next, they will drop us in a heartbeat. And that would be the chance for an improving Littrell team to actually schedule and beat a team at home that would bring some much needed attention to the program

Have to disagree.  We should play the other Metroplex schools.  SMU is a natural fit on our schedule with the animosity between the students and the bragging rights for the local players.

Aw shucks, I don't even have to be around and you guys still think of me.

Anywho, Dimel is our version of Todd Dodge with a few dashes of McCarney. 8-26 over 3 years and the only coach in school history to run an antique pro style offense at UH instead of up-tempo spread.

Then there was Bill Yoeman, but who's counting.

But, but, but, McCarney has skins on the wall. He must be knowledgable about QB recruitment and development.

Did you see his ring?!  And to question his evaluation talents.

I really don't think there is a "Shanbour should start over Morris" movement, so that's a strawman argument.  I think there IS a "why the hell didn't Mac/Chico give him a shot with what we rolled out last year?" movement.   But that is in the past, I don't know if anyone actually expects Shanbour to start...

Except Silver, Shanbour may be his love child.

This.  I honestly have not seen Morris or Shanbour in live action, but I don't want us to discount someone because he isn't 6'3".  Talent wins at this level.  Morris will and probably should start, but if Shanbour is the back-up, then so be it.

The winning at all cost model is running rampant in college athletics.

What is the difference in "will not play the first game" and "suspended for the first game?"  We would have done the same, in fact, are we not doing the same with Smiley?
