Main argument here is that Nick Saban can slap down his championship rings to a 5 star recruit and that recruit will say "to hell with the locker rooms, I'm gonna get me one of these'

North Texas meanwhile is battling with Southern Miss for a 3 star guy and that recruit could say "well i like both schools, but Southern Miss knows whats up with that locker room" and boom, committed to USM.

How many recruits have sited locker rooms as the deciding factor in choosing a school?

I believe one of the job requirements was a Master's Degree as well. Hard to get a quality candidate when the pay is so low, IMO.

Why is this a requirement for almost every AD position?  Just ridiculous especially considering the salary.

  3. Coach Littrell said we were going to a bowl game and I believe him.

SMU: W - Because they suck
    B-C: W - Lightening ain't gonna strike twice.
FL: L - Not quite ready for the big upset.
Rice: W - Just not impressed with this team.
MT: L - Will be closer than many believe.
    Marshall: L - away against a top-tier C-USA team.
    BYE -
Army: W - Close at the half and then we pull away
UTSA: W - Because they really suck.
LATech: L - Could go our way with the homecoming push.  They have to replace a lot.
    WKY: L - Strong team
SoMS: L - Good program again.
UTEP: W - Because they are from El Paso

"father is chair of the department of criminal justice at the University of North Texas"

Does this mean he attends for free?   And if so, does that count as a scholarship?

When did this start?  My Dad was a professor, department chair and Dean.  I didn't get a break.

Lighter Offensive lineman are not as much of a problem in Littrell's Air Raid as it would be in Mac's Run-To-Boredom offense. Air Raid will use wider splits(although UNC didn't seem to use the 1 to 1/2 yard splits that Leach tends to use. This however could have been a function of Fedora's influence) which will need the Lineman to be better(read quicker) in space especially on a combo blocking play or when they provide help on a defender. Can anybody that has been to practice confirm the splits and whether they are closer to Leach or Fedora.

True, but 260 lb. lineman are light regardless of what system you run.  The Air Raid typically employs tall, rangy lineman that are well over 300 lbs.

Number restrictions only apply to offense

Are there number restrictions in college?  I know there are, or have been in the NFL, but wasn't sure if this also occurred in college.  I would guess there is for linemen to assist the officials with "receiver eligible vs. non-eligible players," but didn't know if there was a restriction on the skill positions.

Also, really curious about the move of Wegman to OL.  Does he have the frame to add weight?  The same with Reinhardt.  260 lb. OL aren't very useful, but lighter, quicker DL's can be.  Anyone that has watched practice have any thoughts on this?
